Drug info - SWIM found 35/40 caps of A.Pantherina

SWIM just found 35/40 caps of Amanita Pantherina while she was hunting edible mushrooms. What SWIY would do with them?

How to dry it?
There is a (simple) way to extract the "useful" compounds?
What about squeezing them and injecting the liquid? (JUST JOKING!)

Maybe SWIM will post a pic of the caps.

Please help her!

Those do not look like Amanita Pantherina or A. Muscaria. Another Amanita sp. perhaps. And don't ask us to positively identify mushrooms of any variety on the internet.

Hmm, they certainly look like panther caps to this shroom-hunter...it's good that you can see the whole stipe attached to the small immature cap in the bottom right, since it shows the characteristic 'boot' or sheath around the bulbous end where it grew out of the soil. Having said that, there are things like smell, taste and habitat that can't be judged just from a photo of some harvested mushrooms. Also, you'd need to be absolutely satisfied the spots on the cap where WHITE rather than GREY, or it could be A. spissa:

Bear in mind, too, that pantherinas are commonly described as 'stronger', or equivalently 'more poisonous', than muscarias.

Unfortunately Swim had to discard half of whem due to worms infestation (the poor little white worms was escaping from the drying process). (On the top of my BIG monitor ). Swim saved 13 caps.

Next week Swim will go for more caps. She know a little wood infested by pantherina, even if she'd prefear to find muscarias. She's a little afraid to start with pantherina (1 gram?).

Why Swim read that pantherina brings "bad trips" more often than muscaria? It's only a question of dosage? Suggestion? Of maybe different unknown chemicals? Someone should open a thread named: MUSCARIA VS PANTHERINA.

I think it's the same substances (i.e. ibotenic acid, which is converted to muscimol by the drying process) - so just make *absolutely* sure they are what you think they are, and start *small*...maybe one cap, just to see how strong they are. I doubt you'd get anything from a single gram, that's like half a dried cap.

Proper drying is absolutely vital. When people talk about "bad trips" with amanitas of either variety - muscaria or pantherina - it's usually from having taken fresh or improperly dried mushrooms. That said, the pantherina is generally thought to be twice the potency of muscaria. But amanita's levels of ibotenic acid/muscimole can very dramatically from mushroom to mushroom. SWIM should always be careful with these.

There's no reason not to start with a dose well below what is considered "active", especially when there are such strong concerns over concentration/toxicity. In his recent Q&A at Burningman, Sasha discusses his testing process, starting at 200nanograms and over weeks and months slowly increasing the dose until it becomes perceptible. Considering the large supply of availible test subjects, when ground and blended for uniformity, could be tested into a uniform product with reliable dosing with such a method. Of course there is no reason to start as low as Sasha does when he's working with a totally unknown substance. The work put into it would be well worth the results.

He is overwhelmed by study/work. Also he is not in the right mood, and doesn't have enough privacy to do such things, at the moment.

Swim finally did, about 40-50 days ago.

1700mg of dried panthercaps.

Stronger than expected.

t+0: Very good taste. Let's play Sega's Kid Chameleon.

t+30: Nothing.

t+60: Stood up to take some water. He notices some kind of drunkness. He feels the body very very light. It is quite

nice

t+75: Swim is going with a friend to take some weed.

t+90: Swim forgets to take the rest of the money from the weed dealer. SO FKING STUPID NOW! Still some
not-unpleasing lightbody-drunkness.

t+120: Pot is smoked. Swim start to feel bad. His face is pale-yellow. He had mild nausea and he is very very tired

and uncoordinated. He has trouble finding the keys in his pockets, and even more troubles to open the home's door.

It was really scaring, but he rationally knows that cannot die with 1700mg.

t+130: Swim finally reaches his bathroom. He hopes to feel better by downloading some s*** in the toilet because he

doesn't wants to do it in the pants somewhen in the night. Swim has VERY STRONG difficulties to reach his bedroom,

and he get lost in the living room (he had to stay in darkness to avoid waking up his mother: it would be absolutely

clear to her that swim is heavily poisoned now).

t+???: Swim decides to rest some minutes in the dark livingroom. Then he founds energy to reach his bedroom. Swim's

cat went over him to get caresses. Caressing the cat is too much difficult now. Even drink water is too much

energy-expensive now.
Very strong CEVs (coloured patterning and very very fast movements of "something") and aural distorsions (heared

some kind of constant music). Please not that swim never had hallucinations, even on DXM third plateau or 35g of

mushrooms of 1 LSD hit.
Swim fell asleep.
No hangover.

Swim would not advice amanita to everyone, unless you are settled to handle with heavy body loads.
It is not like psilomushes.
The body load is very very strong. Like 20x times the psilomushes one.
But swim does not regret this. There was very bad thing but also some good ones. There are little chances that he

will do this again in the (far) future.

thanks for report! and welcome back on earth

next time swim would really recommend to divide dose in at least two separate parts and wait like 1 hour between eating second of them.
And swim would think more about seting next time.. going out to see a dealer is something even my pet psychadelic hedgehodge wouldnt do being on amanitas.
