Drug info - Pill that numbs the tongue? Uh??

So SWIM came across some X that made the tongue numb after a taste test. This was quiet weird as SWIM had never run into a pill that made the tongue numb...

Can anyone clarify as to what drugs that would likely be cut into a pill that will make your tongue numb?

SWIM tells me they have a chalky texture with white, brown and a few red? specs. They were reagent tested for Marquis (dark black), Simons (dark blue), and Robadope (no reaction).

They do no have the bitter taste of mcpp or burn like it (piperazine). Then again its hard to tell if its burning or not due to SWIMS tongue going numb.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cocaine is not put into pills; cocaine is not very effective orally, and it would not be very profitable either.

However, other anasthetics in the caine family, including benzocaine and procaine are possible suspects.

Also, Acetaminophen has a slight numbing sensation, not nearly as strong as caines.

Jeeze, I would definately be reluctant to have a pill like that; what else could be in a pill that's cut with numbies?! Sounds like it has a good chance of being a garbage/dirty/fake pill.

Well, you got me there on that is has been done; I guess when one can get a brick for the price of a used chrysler 300, you find ways to market it elsewhere than just as coke and crack.

Still saying it's pretty pointless; Orally, cocaine takes a good bit more to be active.

Could it be BZP or TFMPP? SWIM knows the are in the same piperazine family but do they all give the same buring / horrible taste on the tongue?

A doctor told me today that diphenhydramine can/is used as an anesthetic. I don't know how much I trust him, he's a podiatrist (foot doctor)

The project has been temporarily discontinued while we seek additional funding. No new tablets are being accepted for testing (unless the entire lab fee of $120/tablet is covered by the submitter, see below). Tablets mailed after Aug 2, 2005 WILL NOT BE TESTED and enclosed co-pays can not be returned.

This is not directed at you, but many people fail to notice this, and that there are very few pills after they started charging.

Swim has some dirty ones he wants to confirm the substance in one day just to prove it was what he suspected. Swim'll probably be waiting a long time, 120 is quite a bit for a hobo like Swim!

Yawn! Pill/chemical i.d. threads are generally useless & will get shut down at some point. However, I'll play along with this one.

All the information given so far points towards a clean pill with a fat amount of MDMA or similar chemical as the main active constituent. MDMA as well as tasting like the proverbial ass will indeed numb that tongue a little, although not to the same extent as cocaine or similar.

While it would be rare, there is no reason why cocaine would not find it's way into a pill. Think of it this way, if a manufacturer can afford enough MDMA to make a batch, they can afford enough coke to add to it. It would be a poor choice for a cut though, as it is not that effective when taken orally, & combined with MDMA leads to less euphoria & something of a flat experience, allegedly, & the profit margin, in Britain at least, would be greatly reduced. Without getting into price discussion, this may be a different story in the USA.

If your monkey can get hold of Cobalt thiocyanate (Dissolve 2.0 g of cobalt (II) thiocyanate in 100 ml of distilled water.) (ref: Validation of twelve chemical spot tests for the detection of drugs of abuse - Carol L. O’Neal , Dennis J. Crouch *, Alim A. Fatah; 1999) then he would be able to test for the presence of cocaine.

More often than not, it's people who make bunk pills with coke as the main ingredient. Not everyone pays street prices for coke; knowing the right wholesaler, an enterprising asshole of a dealer could take a kilo, press it into fake pills, and make, oh, say 3x to 4x profits, and without having to play in the cocaine/crack market.

From what Swim has seen, the E market is split into two types of manufacturers: Those who make knockoffs pills with whatever random drug they can find, and those who make them with MDMA, either pure or cut with other drugs to make a small bulk amount of MDMA go further. The first type, the knockoff assholes, are quickly becoming a large share of the market.

Thanks for playing along and after the SWIM monkey's ingested these experiments they were quiet surprised at just how amazing these pills are.
