Exclamation mind over matter/heroin withdrawal

i've been using-snorting heroin on average a couple days a week sometimes a couple bags a day. recently due to lack of funds i'm limited to usage. my finace thinks it's mind over matter. he doesn't get sick. if i go a few days without i'm constantly on the toilet, chills, runny nose, and crazy depressed. then i finally give up and go get a bag. i'm wondering is it possible to convince yourself (myself) that i'm not going through withdrawal? is there some easier way that i can kick it and get over it and fight the urge to get more. i can't seem to find any kind of answer on the internet/google searching that can answer any kind of question about going cold turkey from snorting this stuff.
can it be possible to convince myself not to get sick because my finace thinks that some people don't go through withdrawal and have the symptoms...any advice?
