Combinations - MAX Suggested Dose of "Las Vegas Cocktail": Hydrocodone+Carisoprodol?

Swim has heard good things about the hydrocodone + carisoprodol (Soma) combination. What would be the absolute *largest* dose swim should take of each considering they are both cns depressants?

This is subjective, and completely based Swiy's personal tolerance.

What doses does Swiy usually take of each alone? And how high do those make Swiy? Nodding? Falling asleep? Or not even close to nodding? Gotta figure out where Swiy is at with their type of preferred high.

Yeah, that's what swim is trying to figure out, so swim can set rules for himself to combine downers safely. By themselves, swim does 20-30mg hydro, 700-1050mg carisoprodol.

A rule of thumb swim has heard is to cut the usual dose of each in half. So, if swim combined 15mg hydro with 525mg carisoprodol, it's not like swim is going to go into respiratory depression and die or something, wouldn't swiy think? Granted, the risks are higher when combining, but the serious risks are only present at high doses. Swim just doesn't wanna push it... Swim knows doctors prescribe this combo but swim has never read at what doses. Obviously it's something that is only prescribed at lower doses, and if swim combined his usual individual doses, he'd probably be knocked out flat.

15mg hydro, 350mg cap. Start no more than there, I suggest. Perhaps even 10mg hydro.

Risks are present at all doses. People can freak out and have strange reactions sometimes. It is important to be as careful and safe as possible.

Always remember, one can redose later; one cannot "undose".

As a general rule, cutting each in half is not a bad idea, but carisoprodol is, IMHO, the strongest muscle relaxant there is, and that it blows all the others out of the water. Swim took a 350mg on coke and the effect was significant.

I'd like to hear Swiy's results whenever he does this. I compare effects between different people.

IMHO, Swiy's hydrocodone dosage is awfully small, like that of one opiate naive; people who are opiate naive are those who are at a higher risk of OD or dangerous side effects. Drugs can be unpredictable with low tolerances.

I would say doctors likely prescribe no more than 350mg at once, perhaps 2-3 times daily based on the 8 hour halflife.

Now, I would also suggest capping Swiy's total dose at no more than 25-30mg hydrocodone, 700 carisoprodol. 1g of it is a lot.

I have to respectfully disagree, at least partially. Many people do not know proper doses, and won't bother looking them up. Many people also are clueless about drug interactions, as well as effects/side effects, overdose levels, how to properly dose, the time it takes for drugs to kick in, etc etc.

A prime example: People who take methadone, and 30 minutes later, thinking it is weak, take a shitload and eventually OD from the long time to take effect.

I have a friend who drinks very heavily and thought it was okay to take hydromorphone/muscle relaxants they were prescribed for post surgery pain and still drink heavily. They'd be dead for sure, if I didn't tell them first. Swim has a friend who was mixing HEAVY drinking (6+ beers and vodka with 4+ mg alprazolam sometimes up to 8mg, several times a week)
He was complaining of hiccups lasting for hours after one night of hard partying. Swim asked questions, and told him to stop or he'll be dead before he's 20.

^^indeed. But the dosage when more than one used is what im talking about. The curves can change.

Oh yes, absolutely.

I take harm reduction very seriously, especially after a terrifying experience Swim had with dirty E pills that coulda cooked him alive. Swim is almost positive they were PMA, not out of assumption, but because of specific effects, halflife, aftereffects, and such.
