Drug info - What worthwhile research chemicals are still legal?

swim was amazed to find out that substances like 2-cI and 5-meo-dmt are still legal. Though swims not sure if this is true in the UK. So which ones that are worth a go are still legal then? can you buy them online? swims heard reports of vendors selling 2-CI due to its legality, but a search couldn't find any. He was able to get some before, but his source has dried up.

In the United States, the DEA classified some tryptamines and phenethylamines as Schedule I substances but not others. For instance, while it remains illegal to possess DMT or 2C-B, possession of their chemical cousins, 5-MeO-DMT or 2C-I, continues to be legal. Under the Analogue Statue of the Controlled Substance Act, however, it is illegal to traffic any substances chemically analogous to scheduled tryptamines and phenethylamines. Due to the increasing availability of these substances on the Internet, the DEA launched Operation Web Tryp in 2004, which targets individuals and companies illegally selling tryptamines and phenethylamines. Despite the increasing restrictions on access and manufacture, many of the tryptamines and phenethylamines discussed here remain legal to use and posses.

Booger, looks like the UK has banned EVERY substance Shulgin mentions in PiHKAL. But not in the US it seems. Found out on the 2C-T-2 page at wiki;

2C-T-2 is unscheduled and uncontrolled in the United States, but possession and sales of 2C-T-2 would probably be prosecuted under the Federal Analog Act because of its structural similarities to 2C-T-7.

2C-T-2 and all other compounds featured in PiHKAL are illegal drugs in the United Kingdom.

Synesthesiac, swiz is sure Alfa pointed swiy in the right direction for the answer.

But simply put, many things discussed here are technically legal. However, one could very easily face charges for possessing an analogue of a substance- which bring with them just as stiff consequences. 5-MeO-DMT and N,N DMT for example.

Remember also please, that any swimmer here could be chosen to be made into an example during this boom of designer drugs.

If anyone reads this thread, err on the side of caution, my raver friend was thrown out of college for 2C-T-2 because they were claiming it illegal using the analog act and citing 2C-T-7 as an analogue. It would be wise to treat all of these as illegal until proven legal.

Did the college involve the police in this or was it just violation of school rules?

Can you please give more information about your friend's expulsion? I think alot of people on here could learn a lesson from someone else's past mistake(s).

Was your raver friend at a state university? or a private school?

Were they caught distributing the drug or was it personal use?

Were they caught as the result of an investigation or by a fluke pseudo-law-enforcement interaction?

Swim was knocked around a bit by johnny law for RC ordering a while back and they couldn't touch him in court because they didn't find any scheduled chems... besides the amounts they had were small. nothing over 10 grams of things

It stayed purely a case of breaking dormitory and housing rules, in addition to university wide rules.

Nope, 2C-I is not. It's a List I drug of the Opium Law in the Netherlands, along with 2C-B, 2C-T-2 and 2C-T-7, for the 2C-x series. Other Phenethylamine RC's banned in the Netherlands are DOM, DOET, DMA, TMA, TMA-2 and 4-MTA. From the Tryptamine RC's, only DET is banned.
