Here we go again
Hello all. Swim joined this forum a few weeks ago for support during a home detox. He got through the w/ds that time and was on the mend but relepsed after a week. He did another home effort since then and abstained for 1 week again before relapsing. Now he has to do it again. He says HAS TO because he doesn't want to be on the shit. Being an active opiate addict isn't an option for swim.
Swims doing about £20 of heroin a day which is slightly more than last time. The gear itself is of average quality. He's going to start tommorrow. He has a little bit of gear left on the foil and then he has a decent stash of tramadol to help him through. He's done it with them before and found they really helped. SWim also has a nice bit of skunk which helps too. SWims dreading the w/ds but must get his head around the situation. He finds that once he's well and truly into the w/d he can cope ok. He needs to steel himself when the w/ds start kicking in tommorrow as that's when it's shit or bust. Take some tramadol and try to relax a bit,. Once the come down has passed and his head gets used to no opiates he can get down to the nasty business of withdrawing . Here's wishing swim good luck. |

Re: Here we go again
yeah, i hope Swiy gets through alright. Swim has no experience with dealing with addiction, so he really has no idea how hard it must be on Swiy. whatever Swiy's gotta do to stay off the H.
may the detox fairies relieve Swiy of his H-addiction. |

Re: Here we go again
good luck. swim too understands how absoultely terrible it is. swim has been doing heroin for about 5 years. he did it for a couple years straight almost all of the time. it got really out of hand and at the end had to do about 3 grams a day (black tar) 1 gram in the morning, 1 in afternoon and 1 in evening. 3 doses a day. it was really hard to kick. he had to go into a detox center where he was given librium, cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer, sleep aid), chloral hydrate (very strong hypnotic), clonidine, and other stuff as well. it all helped a lot but nothing helps like an opioid. swim actually used tramadol a few months ago to aid in suboxone (buprenorphine) withdrawals and it was insane. it was really bad. but as swiy said it should help. for some reason swim just didn't react to it right. he had a seizure during his withdrawal. it was really terrible. but swim knows it helps a lot of people. the point is, do not take too much tramadol. swim was taking between 200mg - 400mg twice a day. appearantly this can provoke seizures and swim is sure being in withrawal did not help at all. anyways good luck and be careful.

Re: Here we go again
swim totally understands swiy's situation as swim has just been there. swim says the first few days are the worst and if swiy can get by them then swiy should be ok. swim says then its a case of keeping the little voice in swiy's head quiet as that goes on for ever swim thinks.
stick to it swiy and you'll feel better for it. Whilst swim isn't totally opiate free swim is doing much better than swim was about a year ago and swim feels better for it plus swim has more ca$h in swims pocket, which is always a good thought to have in swiy's head whilst w/d'ing. |

Re: Here we go again
Good luck SWIY, my heart really goes out to you. SWIM has been over a day into IV heroin withdrawals at least 100 times, and it breaks SWIMS heart when he sees or hears about anyone else suffering from it. SWIM can think of few things worse than heroin withdrawals.
There's only 1 thing that can give SWIM a little bit of relief when he is in full blown withdrawals - just laying or sitting on the floor of the shower with hot water running over him. SWIM stayed in England for a month and remember you all generally don't have gigantic hot water tanks like we do in America, but whatever you have, at least it's something. Good luck, take care please and let us know how you are doing. |

Kaloochi, what's the news? SWIM is doing a similar thing but from methadone not heroin. So although SWIM is on his 12th day he is still not over all the residual wd.s but is definitely over the worst of them. It's doable, but less than fun!
Good luck D |

Re: Here we go again
Alright there. Still using i'm sorry to say, can't seem to take that first step. The past couple of days swims been indulging in crack. This is very dangerous for swim because it's one step closer to how swim used to be a few years ago when he was really hard at it, and that neans now is the time to stop more than ever.
Swims reached a stage where the gear isn't doing it, it's lost it's appeal (which is good) but the madness is he can't stay away from it. Swims been smoking or chasing and all it does is leave the most vile taste in his mouth and nothing in his pocket. Swim is dteremined and KNOWS he'll stop, but it's like he said at the start of this post, it's the first step thats hard. |

Re: Here we go again
Your clone needs to find some Suboxone! My clone is doing a detox right now off 600mgs of oxycontin and 100 mgs mdone a day habit and it seems to be working very well. At least SWIM is at peace and the madness has gone. Crack r jack baby! Man that stuff just makes my clone shudder just thinking about those days, it's like MORE MORE MORE and it still isn't enough. My clone reacts real strangly to it makes him halucinate thinks he's seein demon things walk by underneath the bathroom door. It really scares the shit out of swim.
