I've done that a couple of times. After I smoke a joint a or two at my friends, time flies fast, and I have to drive back home still stoned. One time I used bubbler and got the most stoned in my life ever. I've drove for about 2 hours, going on the highways, different downtowns and stuff, finnaly I got lost and had trouble finding a way back home. When I'm high my thinking is impared, I might do a stupid stuff like set myself on fire or try to do awhelie on BXM bike, but I drive perfectlly fine (well almost perfectly). So is it a bad idea do drive slightly buzzed, stoned or stoned out of your mind? Does it posses a danger to sosiety?

I don't think driving high impairs your skills. My opinion, I think it makes you more alert. Now driving drunk is stupid

Depending on your tolerance, your driving abilities may be altered when your high. Giving yourself about 3 hours after you smoke should give you enough time to be ready to drive. If you have a tolerance, driving shouldn't be much of a problem, although it isn't always a good idea.

its of my oppinion you can drive fine baked, like someone said depending on tolerance. If your like alot of stoners and your always baked of course its not gunna affect your driving.

But if you only smoke occasionaly your more likely to get "zoned out" and make a mistake.

I'm an Emergency Medical Tech. and I've never seen a serious accident involving someone who's baked... they're always really low speed accidents with no injuries. Never anything more than a small misjudgement in distance.

Yes, driving high is a fine thing to do, its driving when you are
TOTALLY stoned that makes people think that stoners cant drive at all.
Some of my friends drive high all the time, and do it with the greatest
of ease. Once or twice, however, they have been really really high, and
had difficulty remembering where to turn, when to stop, how fast to go,
and just general stuff... often, they just look at the road and stuff
and forget about driving.. this is not a good idea. Not only does it
produce a threat to yourself and the other road users, but it makes it
so if you DO crash, the media will be all over it trying to push
marijuana back down, lessening its chances of legalization.

So this is my opinion upon it:

Buzzed - High: Safe driving as long as the driver is alert.

Stoned - Totally baked: Dont drive unless absolutely necessary, and even then, bring a cup of coffee to help.

Peace

Of course it impairs your driving skills in some way or another...usually trying to find a bag of doritos or something afterwards.
However, I'd rather be out on the road with everybody stoned than 1 person driving drunk.

Yep! I've done it, but only once. I got f*cking baked out of my mind and there was a blizzard outside. Like a foot of snow on the roads... I had to go to the hospital and pick people up too. It sucked, but it was really fun. I don't remember that night at all... except I think *NOW GET THIS* The car was pulled over by a cop and I had just switched driving with a friend of mine who didn't have their license on them. Well let's just say that the stupid cop let me drive home. I was still baked out of my mind! What a NIGHT!

I watched a program when this man done 3 driving tests. 1drunk, 1stoned, n 1 sober. his worst result (by far) was drunk, then sober, his best results was when he was stoned.
I think HE drove better cuzz he was maybe paranoid so concentrating more. Everyone wld be different though. I think it differs greatly on the person some ppl's ability might be comprimised some might improve.

OK, I was pushing it too far and here the results:

I hit a car. Nothing bad, not even an accident,I was baked (from the best "stuff" with orange hairs!!) stopped at intersection, called my friend and started talking, next thing I know I bumped a car in front of me. Men, I got scared!! I was luckythat i bumped into pickuptruck and didn't damage it at all. I got a litttle dent on my licence plate.

Well, the lesson is learned andI'm never driving stoned again. Much worse things could happen. I guess it was my wake up call.

i always end up driving way slow. I have a pretty off road truck
so when i drive drunk my first thought is, lets hit some dips and see
if i can get air. When im high i drive slow and even slow down
for dips and bumps. BUt when i get way high i end up getting
lost. I got list in a parking lot about half the size of a
basketball court, i couldnt find the damn exit.
