Pharmacology - Oxy & Arthrotec, any experience?

I have a friend that was involved in a horrible car crash several months back and was prescribed Oxycontin ... the Doctors now gives him Arthrotec. It does not help as much. Is there any comparison between them?

Arthrotec is diclofenac sodium, and this product it supposed to be used for arthritis. I have heard nothing but negative about this stuff, people complaning of bad side effects.

Oxycodone is an actual painkiller, an opioid.

Silly doctors must be all up in a fit about having to give out opioids. I suggest visiting a pain management clinic to get proper care.
