Experiences - Be careful with the ket

A dear friend of mine decided to share a gram of ketamine in a bar with he friend (they did a lot of ketamine over the summer), it had just been cooked up and was still in crystals. She couldnt be bothered to make proper lines as the toilets didnt have seats. She put her straw in the baggy and managed to sniff half a gram in one go (aswell as being extremly drunk) she suddenly woke up to find her self in hospital complely naked apart from a gown, with heart moniters on her chest. She had a head injury and a black eye, she panicked and ran away from the hospital.
She wants to know what they did to her in the hospital she'd apparently had a ketamine "overdose". Did she really? How much damage did it do?

Half a gram of ketamine in one go... when already very drunk... your friend is lucky she ended up in hospital and not a coffin. The hospital probably didnt do a whole lot apart from monitor her, maybe pumped her stomach if the alcohol had been very recently ingested. Ketamine and alcohol; not the safest combination.

What an utter load of bollocks.

K is very low toxicity. It would take something like 50 grams to make the average person OD.
She's holed in public, flailed about, hurt herself, and passed out. The hospital has said "overdose" either because they don't actually uderstand about K or because they wanted to scare her into not doing it again.

1/2 gram lines are very common. My sloth has had more than that in one go - on many occasions. Just don't do it in public! Doesn't take a genius to work that one out. Do it somewhere where you are safe. Put some good music on, lie down somewhere soft and enjoy one of the most amazing experiences this life has to offer.

Idiots who take K in public without knowing how much they are taking are giving us responsible users a bad name.

I was told by a knowledgeable monkey that you need ten k-hole doses to reach the anaesthetic dose used on humans by medical practitioners, and ten of THOSE doses to reach an "overdose". Half a gram is a helluva lot to take at once, and in a public place is just moronic; I realise it was a mistake but every experienced nose-powdered drug user knows that it can easily happen when snorted straight out of a baggy. Combining any amount of alcohol with ketamine is also plain silly, and although it can often be fine it obviously wasn't in this case.

When one starts to have drug experiences like this one, it is time for them to seriously reconsider the path on which they are walking.

Swim has never been tempted to use ketamine out in a bar/club. He would only use it at home.

That is definatly the most sensible option, and that's the problem with alcohol it makes me do things that should not be done haha.

well then your username suits you, be safe & do'nt abuse drugs especially dissacoiatives in public places it creates a stigma for the image everyone is trying to fight for when it comes to drug use. swey should be in control & looking out for sweys friends to help them avoid situations like this.

this girl is fortunate she did'nt fall in front of a car outside the pub or got taken advantage of when quickly slipping somewhere etc... be careful of yourself & the ket.

Yes I complely agree, the hopsital say "overdose" but they just mean passing out.
With out the alcohol she would have been ok, it just tipped her over the edge.

Yes she's aware that alcohol and ket isnt the best idea but when you're already drunk you don't really think about things like that.
She made a small mistake, didnt expect to get to slated in this forum, some people are quite pretentious. And taking ketamine in a public place is definatly not moronic, adventures are part of the fun hahaha.

Yeah, Monkey knows that ketamine is lots of fun in public one of monkeys favorite activities used to be going around his city centre meeting different people on small amounts. Clubbing and ket is fun for the person but a bit worrying for others...

NB: "small amounts"... large amounts and it IS a silly idea in public.

I think the OP is very aware that this wasn't the smartest move. Although this will attract the amazement of many members, I am sure everyone has done some stupid things in their live. We live and learn. At least many do.

Regards not doing this in a bar, and taking it safe at home, could result in tragedy. The person is fortunate it was done in a populated place where someone did the right thing. Cheers to whoever called the ambulance.

Taking k in a bar/club is not the wisest of all ideas, but at a low dose can add to the fun and surrealism as long as no one really suspects anything.

swim often takes in bars/clubs just having small bumps! there are 2 kinds of ketamine users! Party goers and exlporers and some people do both!

SWIM develops a tolerance quickly and can easily snort half gram lines, and if his tolerance is from a few days of use, he can even maintain a nice buzz by doing quarter to half gram lines all night, while enjoying a public place. Although, a half gram with almost 0 tolerance could be an interesting few hours.. SWIM could handle it, but doesn't recommend it for people with little experience, especially in public..

A.) It's completely stupid to do a drug like ketamine in somewhere like a bar.
B.) It's completely stupid to do such a large amount at one time.
C.) Based on this, I'd say your friend's a bit of a cretin.

I suppose it would be called an overdose, yeah. But if one's going to do large quantities of an anaesthetic, it's going to knock the person out - it's what they're designed to do.

My advice to your friend would be this: if you insist on doing such a ridiculous amount at a time, at least do it in a place where you're not going to smash your head off a sink. All this kind of reckless and irresponsible drug taking does is build an unessacery stigma around a drug that can be used responsibly.
