Does using other drugs halt alcohol use?
SWIM has been experiencing a strange effect lately. A little background on SWIM:
He started drinking about a year after his friends because of an earlier experience with alcohol poisoning. When he started drinking, it was not his favorite thing to do. Later in the years, SWIM started drinking a lot on the weekends... every weekend. Lately (past couple months), SWIM has been hitting the pills a little harder than usual. Some of these drugs may include amphetamines, xanax, oxymorphone, MDMA (and whatever the x was cut with), etc. All pills. When SWIM does pills, he usually never wants to drink. Is this abnormal? I know a lot of people who love to drink on these drugs, but it just doesn't sound appetizing to me. SWIM usually just drinks a beer or two or plays a round of beer pong. Does anyone have a similar opinion about this?
