Effects - Can swim do oxycontin after suboxone

Swim did 2mg of suboxone yesterday at 5 in the afternoon its 3:00 now can swim do Oxycontin and feel it?

SWIY probably will feel it; however it might be have somewhat of a lessened effect due to the suboxone. Acutally I take that back since I just noticed SWIY mentioned only 2mg....SWIY will feel it

in swim's experience, it usually takes at least 24 hours to feel the full effects of an opiate/opioid after taking suboxone.

In swim's experience, it takes more like 12 hours (on 8mg), but maybe swim's just a freak of nature. 2mg, however....swiy should be able to feel it...no gaurantees though.

Based on studies I have read, it will likely:

1) Do nothing or not work
2) Have full effects
3) Have partial effects

All depends on body chemistry, when you took the suboxone, half life of drugs, etc.

The naloxone is suboxone only lasts for about 2 hours. It's that buprenorphine is a mixed agonist/antagonist.

Swim personally would not. Start slow and small to make sure nasty side effects don't occur, like a small scale WD.

Swim is on 'subs' and has been on it for 6 months... He started at 16mgs and is now at 4mgs so has made a significant drop with NO withdrawal (physically that is)!

Swim recently had his benzos stolen and made the decision to use opiates to alleviate his anxiety as he only had enough Klonazepam and Alprazolam to keep steady and most likely avoid withdrawals...??? Swim isn't sure if withdrawals are going to be that bad for him at his dose? He takes 1mg of Klonazepam at bedtime 80% of the time, the other 20% he will sometimes add 1mg Alprazolam or on VERY BAD nights he'll use 2-3mgs Klonopin and 1-2mgs Xanax, choosing the lower dose of either the xanax or the klonopin, for example if 3mgs K-pin then only 1mg Xanax so he tries to never go over 4mgs in a day but RARELY he'll use more if ABSOLUTELY NEEDED... Swim has been on benzos for about 7 months and thinks he'd definately have some withdrawals!!!???

BACK ON SUBJECT!!! Sorry swim is kind of out of it from sleep deprivation!!!

Swim has used Oxycodone the past couple of weeks, sometimes dosing 6 hours later and some dosages 48 hours later... He can feel the oxy even 6 hours later but obviously the effects are greatly increased waiting 24 hours+!

Swim will use different routes of administration also which make QUITE A DIFFERENCE!!! When swim takes it orally he just feels anxiolytic properties and a slight body high, however no where near full on opiate euphouria! He takes 40-60mgs orally, but VERY RARELY just these past 2 weeks he was given a couple syringes so has intravenously injected between 15-20mgs along with about 20-30mgs orally.

Injecting it he feels the effects ALOT STRONGER!!! However he only feels it for about 1 hour, except the other day a friend had some 4mg Hydromorphones and owed swim a favor so... Swim IV'ed 4mgs Hydromorphone and felt the effects for about 3-4 hours and then his buddy threw him 2mgs more and he shot that. That kept him high from 6:00PM until 12:00AM upon falling asleep, having the 1st shot at 6:00PM roughly and the 2nd shot at about 9:00PM.

Swim DOES NOT ADVISE SHOOTING PILLS, OR INJECTING PERIOD however he wanted the full experience and couldn't find himself to have the willpower to not use the needles!!! Truly upsets swim pretty bad! He had made it 5-6 months without IV'ing, the last time being his last 3ml BD 27gauge with some quality cocaine which was the last thing he wanted to try IV'ing!!!

Swim is planning 1 more injection and tossing the rigs so he can stay clear of the habit for quite sometime!!!

Swim would say though that no matter how soon after suboxone dosing opiates can be felt at the right dosage... BE SAFE PLEASE!!! All have a wonderful afternoon and evening!!! -bdb1-
