Dr. Albert Hofmann will turn 100 on 11th januari 2006. After the 50 years LSD aniversary blotters, etc, I am interested in your idea´s on what the 100 years Albert Hofmann acid should be in your view.

In terms of patterning, I think it should be a picture of Albert all
tripped out on his bike in psychedelic colors on each four hits. The
other side should be covered in all of the chemical data about LSD
(melting point, synthesis, etc.) and should contain the exact dosage
(or as close as possible) for the blotters in that batch of blotters.



Each hit should of course be ~500 ug, even if this requires making the blotter a little larger

Thats a great idea for the design!

The 500 ug are a joke I hope, 200 ug will do nicely. Already the 300 ug triple dose blotters caused more problems than joy when they hit the consumer market.
Real high dosed LSD makes only a bad reputation and anyways, its always possible to take one more....

LSD WILL come back with force. 2006 might be the right time.
But who learnes not from the past will repeat history forever.
Lets aim for high availability and reasonable prices.

What do you think the price and availability of LSD will be in the next
few years? I think the availability is clearly increasing at a rapid
rate, but the price is still pretty high compared to decades ago. I
suppose I can't really complain because mushrooms and marijuana are
both WAY more overpriced. It sucks though when you can find research
chemicals you don't want for like a dollar a dose but have to pay many
times that for a hit of LSD.

I think the price should be higher to keep it out of the general populus and to encourage production, here in the states it is virtually extinct for various reasons discussed elsewhere, decades ago (70's) good trip was 2 dollars a hit and 100 a hundred, dots were a buck a hit or 60 a hundred, in the old days all tabs were a dollar and quality was consistent anywhere from 50 to 75 mikes. Blotters, sugarcubes,and windowpanes were 150 to 250 mikes with some mistakes made in dosing some were as high as 500 mikes. Projected availabi;ity is low for the states, because of all the social crap that has taken place.

I agree with the images though think each hit should contain 100ug so that you can chose to take 1 hit for a mild fry or 2 for a good fry or 3+ for a strong fry ...

250 ug would do it for me, although I can stillhave fun up to 500 ug.


Too bad good quality blotters, LSD and research chemical are almost nonexisting down here.

I've talked a lot with some of the LSD pioneers from the '60s and the
'70s and back then hits really were a couple hundred micrograms on
average. A guy I met, for example, said that the first time he did LSD
was on the first batch of orange sunshine tabs. He said you would buy a
tab for $.35 and split it into four and take one piece. I don't
understand why people wouldn't make stronger hits and just split them
up like this. Do you know what a pain it is to put ten hits into your
mouth? The guy telling me this story went on to relate that he feels
like people who try LSD for the first time today are "ripped off"
because they take like fifty micrograms and don't understand LSD.



Besides traveling with LSD would be a LOT safer if you only had to
carry a fifth as much. Likewise dealers would have a lower risk factor
if they didn't have five times as many hits.

I disagree. Acid would have a far better reputation if doses would have been constant and moderate. Not everybody handles a 250 mg's well. You can always take more, not take less. I consider the financial factor less important than the experience itself.

Are there only a few different designs of blotters spreading around at any one time? I hear people talking about, for example "the first batch of orange sunshine tabs" - can you get the same design as someone else around the forums and assume it'll be about the same size hit? I'd be curious to try acid but I wouldn't want to get a tiny little hit, like mariecurie was talking about, or get a huge one, or whatever. (Plus I wanted to try shrooms first and I can't seem to get a hookup for either )

As far as I know batches are made one time and applied to the specific carrier tab, blotter stamp, sugar cube, etc. so that is is recognized for quality and then it is gone

To price and dosage: In the early 80´s acid was mostly of lousy quality. Dosage was usually about 8 to 20 micrograms a hit. Taking this into account it wasn´t cheap either.

The dosage information was taken from a Microgram (DEA) article I found at Rhodiums page before it went down, where quite a lot blotters were sampled.

Acid is coming back, slowly though. Qhality has it´s price and thats ok with me.

I tend to disagree. There were plenty of really good doses going aroung in the US during the 80's. On average 100 - 150 mics. Prices were under 100 a sheet (100 hits). I couldn't see most of the people spreading it around, families in particular, under 75 mics per hit. Minimun for someone that would be doing it strictly for the money would be 25 - 30 mics per hit, and that would be bare minimum. Lousy at that.


I wouldn't rely on or put too much faith in the DEA and their words.


Yes, lsd is definitely comming back in the US. It's actually starting to flood this summer. =)

ACID is Back!? It's a Great birthday present for Albert Hofmann.


As the 100th Birthday comes closer for the discoverer of LSD-25, it is a present to us USA'ers that Acid is coming back (hard and strong). This is based on several Posts in different Threads (as well as BlueMystic above). This is Great news: Long live LSD.


After not looking for Acid in quite a while, the time is right, for me to make the rounds again. In fact, I haven't even thought about it much. I just "make do" with my RCs. I have been happy with them (after all, if youcan't have the one you love, just love the one you're with).


I haven't noticed it yet, but (you better believe that) I'm going to get out there and look around again. In the next week or so, I am driving down to Santa Cruz (and cruise by some street venders): "Dose, Dose, half my kingdom for a dose" (sorry about the Shakespeare pun). Who knows? I might come back with 100 new friends -- friends to take a Trip with. Then I can Post the Good News for the SF Bay Area too.


Anyway, Happy Birthday Albert! You have helped me more than you could ever know. I know things from the Other Side. I seen life from both sides now. Now I have a balance (a little of this, and a little of that). Find Your balance, Albert ... you're my Hero.

Me and my friend were at a fair trippin out and we both saw Albert Hoffman riding a golf cart smiling at us as he drove by. Therefore I think the blotter should be what we saw. Him on a golf cart smiling at us. I swear this was the coolest thing I saw in a long time. Sure it could have been some guy who looked like him but nonetheless you gotta admit this is one cool image. Lol it sure was at the time!

Edit: nevermind, I looked at the maps website and saw an LSD conference
in January in Basel. I will try to attend, but the flights are quite
expensive.

Thank you, seldor. You just gave the answer I have been looking for. I was wondering what to do next January 11 to commemorate Big Al's birthday.


I'm going to get a Large picture of him, and put it up on the wall. Then I'm going to hunt-downlittle pictures of him (some 100-year Blotters). At 6:11 AM ('06, the 11th) and One second (January), I will smile and pop 4 little pictures under my tongue. I'll look up at my Wall hanging and sing "Happy Birthday to You".


While I'm waiting for the First Effects, I turn on In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (the Ultimate Acid-Rock hit). As the sounds overwhelm me, I fill up with Gratitude, for the man who opened up the whole World to the Magic of LSD-25. Thank you Albert. You're the Best.
