SWIM went to a festival last weekend where he found some lsd. SWIM ate a half tab of the all-white tab and felt nothing. Hours later he ate a full all-white tab and still felt nothing. One day later SWIM found a different batch, these tabs had small black designs on them, and he repeated the process. SWIM ate a half tab and felt nothing and hours later he took a whole tab but still nothing. SWIM was told that the tabs with black designs on them was strong and to take no more than one tab. SWIM is nervous to take too much, but is curious as to why he isn't achieving any effects. Is he getting ripped off with bunk acid or is he ingesting it the wrong way? He said he held the tabs under his tongue for about five maybe ten minutes and swallowed. Any advice would be great, thanks.

Re: Was it bunk(bad) acid?
If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck - it's likely a duck. I'd say SWIM got burned.
Buying such at festivals from strangers is never a good idea. Wait until you find friends who know what they are doing. Really - it will come to those who are patient. |

Re: Was it bunk(bad) acid?
First of all, no one can tell you what is on the tabs your friend has purchased. Only a reagent kit or a direct line of communication with the chemist can clarify exactly what was on those tiny squares of paper.
More importantly, is your friend on any medications? There are many commonplace medications that act as 5-HT2A antagonists and therefore block many of the effects of LSD and other 5-HT2A agonists. It is also possible that he had reached threshold effects on the first day and as a result, his 5-HT receptors experienced downregulation, which would explain the lack of effects from dosing on the second day. Also, some believe that downregulation can occur within an hour or so of activity, so if he didnt take the second tab until "hours later" it is possible that he had already downregulated his 5-HT receptors. His method of ingestion sounds fine, partially sublingual and partially oral, this is how most people ingest LSD. If he still has samples of these tabs, it would be wise of him to either buy a reagent kit or wait at least a week before trying again to allow his tolerance to subside. |

Re: Was it bunk(bad) acid?
thanks a lot, a lack of knowledge and some strangers does not make for a success.
