Color Changing Meth

I was just remembering my oldtweeker days. I wouldusually get really potent glass. The funny thing about it is, sometimes when I would smoke it, it would turn blue. You know when you smoke it and after it dries it will turn off white to sometimes yellow? Well, sometimes my shit would turn blue. Have any of you guys everhad any shit like this?

I remember reading one time that if meth changes to different colors, its just some of the leftover chemicals or something like that, but i dont remember what chemicals the colors represented, but I remember blue on there.

i was reading something about a metal in the pseudo like titanium dioxide that is in generic additive for cold pills to shitty up the product and to foil meth cooks. thats probably the left over shit that makes it smurfy. read the pseudo cleaning thread using japan dryer and tce. during the steps there is a blue color that shows up somewhere.

I dont know where your from but where i live thats actually a common thing. Almost all our meth is "birch reduction", with ammonia and lithium. The ammonia is kept in a propane tank and unless the brass valve is replaced with stainless steel or another sort, the ammonia will turn it a deep blue "smurf" color. You cant tell that by looking at the crank until smokin it off the foil where it will leave a blue trail instead of clear of yellow. I dont know what the word for the discoloration is but its a sign of the brass valve being corroded.

Swim has some speed that gets a blue tinge to it then it goes purple and eventualy burns and tastes like shit. is there anyway to fix this?

swim is smoking it properly and not burning it... so its def the gear

i was told that when its blue, its like extra or to much draino in SWIMs stuff. not necessarily a "bad" thing considering meth is pretty much house hold chemicals but yeah, just what i heard

SWIM has heard of meth like this, also meth that turn pink but he has never seen it himself. Some people are fascinated by the whole thing and try to make different names for the types of meth but it is likely just some impurity. The best of the best ICE shouldnt be colorful like that, just clear or snow white if it is not in shards.

My guess anything on the "cooler" side of the color chart (IE: Blue, purple) is iodine left over... Red etc.. can be red phospherous... Brown/black is usually (for swim) magnesium stearate, magnesium stearate has a very noticable smell/taste to it. If you ever try smoking any type of pill, you'll probably taste magnesium stearate first... Nasty shit... Sometimes cooks just put the pills crushed directly into the.. cauldron... Stupid idea.

The blue is "tripladine",caused by pill buffers i believe.

The blue color is caused by tripolidine which is an active ingredient bonded with the psudo in some of the 60mg type pills .

yes the blue,purple, green is caused by the antihistamines in the pills
tripolodine
the blue causes no harm
just a coloration
it is not that easy to get rid off unless a A/B extraction is done on the meth
and even then it might not ever get out
nothign to worry about

Does triprolidine do make blue coloring?
Someone in a lab tells me that when he try to burn the pure Triprolidine HCl it doesnt leave a blue trait.
Plus, its hydrocarbon structural doesnt seems to burn into something blue.

Might be, but chemically a hydrocarbon (include "changed" triprolidine) should not change to blue colored upon heating unless it has some massive aromaticity and/or having a heteroatom.

This makes SWIM thinks it might be something else.

tripolidine makes smurf dope but a quick blend in a glass blender with acetone before pulling cures this prob and by making sure that the pill mass is completly dry before you extract or (pull) the psudo and a high grade acetone is used or distilled acetone is used your return should not be affected. The stuff that turns pink is usually due to a ph below 7 and recrystillization using warm alcohol and cold acetone.

hmmmm no not really pink is usually caused when red hots are used this is the only instance where SWILW has seen pink meth

(will usually cure cases that are not to bad otherwise you could repeat the procedure of lye and fluid only be more careful with the acid this time.) recrystilization is the cure not cause, sorry! The latter of the two opts is more so effective when working with larger amounts.
