Purity - Acid or not?

ok, so swim and swims friend got some 'acid' and it looked just like the sticky part of an envelope. hit had a similar taste and texture as an envelope and we're starting to doubt its acid...swims friend has only had gel tabs before and swim has never done acid...what is the likely hood of swim getting ripped off?

nobody can tell SWIY whether they got acid or not....the only real way to know is to get it tested....if one has any left over, they can do the black light test but that still doesn't guarantee its acid

Probably got ripped off. LSD doesn't have a taste and the texture is irrelevant seeing as the dosage is a minute drop of liquid undetectable to the naked eye. With anything on the black market, the likelihood of getting conned is pretty high.

personally swim would just take it and see but obviously thats not the best advice to be dishing out!did swiy get it from someone they know well or not ?ie is there a good chance someone ripped u off? it certainly dont sound like an average blotter but you never know...

If it's on a tiny piece of paper it's under a milligram of material. LSD is only one of many drugs active in this range. If SWIY wants to find out what kind of bullets are in the gun in this particular game of russian roulette, I'd suggest searching for all known substances active in the microgram range. If they still want to play after that, SWIM says pull the trigger. I will say that if it is a psychedelic, (if anything at all) there are only maybe half a dozen (that we know of) that are active in the microgram range. All of those are easily findable through erowid, this board and other sources..if any or all of them sound interesting then SWIM'd again say take the plunge.

As to taste: this can be a very tricky subject. LSD in its pure crystalline form has no taste or odor, it's true. With the myriad of different blotting agents that are being used these days, however, it's quite possible that the taste is from the blotter and not the chemical. If it tastes extremely bitter or chemically then that's a different story, but some blotter paper can have a distinct taste of its own. So basically don't throw the baby out with the bath water on this one.

true. LSD itself has no taste, odor etc, but whatever is used to break the crystal down to liquid form to lay sheets can very well have a taste, often a slightly alcoholic/solvent taste. The only real way to know if SWIY got ripped off or not is to give it the old pepsi challenge.
