Combinations - Mushrooms and Ibuprofen

would taking advil and mushrooms at the same time make you really messed up? is this a dangerous thing to do, because i have a massive headache and i was planning on shrooming later today, should i worry about being on advil when i take the shrooms?

I don't think I'd worry too much about a little advil. From my
research, I haven't seen anything that would suggest ibuprofen and
mushrooms would cause any problems.



People have mixed far worse substances without any problems, so I don't think you'll have a problem.



Also, I think it is worth pointing out that a lot of people who have
'cluster' headaches actually use magic mushrooms to help alleviate
their symptoms.

swim's head hurts and wants to go tripping tonight and is thinking of taking a 300mg IBUPROFEN will this be a deadly combination? thanks in advance

I don't think there is a whole lot to worry about w/ mixing NSAID's w/ psych's....but the dose of NSAID should probablys stay low.

Particularly w/ psiloc(yb)in...there is prolly more of a worry w/ RC's

Swim would make sure the ibuprofen worked b4 dosing tho...seems like a bad idea to dose w/ a headache...tho some psychedelics have been used to treat cluster headaches (w/e those are).

Also if NSAIDs reacted badly I think this information would be more wide-spread.

I have not studies or anything to back this up and may be way wrong, in which case swiy should wait till others agree...

Those psychedelics are primarily psilocybin and psilocin, though an attempt at LSD has been made. See MAPS for more information on current FDA approved studies for psilocybin treatment of cluster-headaches. Do note however that the term "cluster-headaches" refers to a specific disorder, not any series of headaches.

That's completely fine, should be no interactions.
That said, if I had a headache I wouldn't eat the mushrooms anyway...
