Looking at the Morning Glory Growers Guide, this caught my attention:

"Harvesting: The seeds may be gathered as the pods become brown and dry. Immature seeds are more bitter than ripe ones. It has been reported that immature seeds contain more alkaloids, but this has not been confirmed. There are approximately 850 seeds per ounce of the Heavenly Blue variety. The stem and leaves contain some alkaloid. However, because they contain purgative principles, this part of the plant is used only in extraction."- erowid

So is it better to harvest the pods when they are still green or after they turn brown? Does it make much of a difference? The Morning Glory Growers Guide was posted back in 2006, and they got that info off Erowid, so who knows when that was written. Has anyone confirmed whether the immature seeds contain more alkaloids?
SWIM would like to harvest some seeds to enjoy, but most of the pods are still green. If I eat them now, rather than waiting for them to turn brown, would that be wasteful?
