Cooking with cannabis

Hi all, if someone had a small amount of weed, and wanted to make a small one off batch of brownies or cookies (or similar), what might be the best way of preparing it...all the recipes or guidance ive seen is american based and talks about using large quantities with loads of butter...whereas all we're thinking of here is something small...ie...to make enough for 4-5 brownies that would be enough to give you a good kick up the arse! )

Swim once made a space cake with about a half ounce of hash (between 3 people) swim was almost tripping felt like he was floating of swim's friend's bed and was stoned for about 18hours.

Swim thinks you should just use a normal brownie recipe if swiy can get decent pollem swim would suggest dissolving good hash in an amount of butter (whatever the recipe suggests). an eighth of decent cannabis should be enough for a couple of people (depending on resistance) just depends how fucked up swiy wants to get.

How much weed is SWIY talking about?

SWIY could simply make the ratios used in cooking smaller. If its a quarter of an ounce(don't know the actual amount) for a batch of brownies (lets say 24 brownies in all). You could simply find the marijuana to brownie ratio. In this case its 7.09 grams (thats a quarter) divided by 24. Thats roughly 3.39mg per brownie. So. To make 5 brownies just take 24 devided by 5 of the browie mix and all other ingrediants. Then add 16.95mg weed. There you go!

SWIM will share her recipe for cannabutter, you can do what you like with it.

1 ounce of regular marijuana, nothing high grade really, nothing to write home to mom about, blend this up in blender, seeds stems and all, tho SWIM usually picks out major stems that catch her eye. Then she takes her crockpot, adds about 2 " of water to the pot, adds 4 sticks of butter(the more fat the better), then adds the weed. Put on "keep warm" setting so it wont burn, even low seems to blacken the butter or darken some. After 24 hours its all strained, and put back into the water in the pot, new or old doesnt matter really, then put in fridge, the butter solidifies at the top then you can cut it like a pie and take out the slices. put in container, use before a week for best results. SWIM likes making blueberry muffins, brownies, butter popcorn, mac'n'cheese.

SWIM used this recipe for 9 brownies about a inch thick and 4 inches wide by 4 inches long, pretty hefty brownies, and she ate 2 and was so stoned after 30 minutes all the sudden! Her friends of lesser tolerance were stoned off their bottoms with one!

Thank god for this plant because SWIM never wanted a thing to do with cooking til she cooked with cannabutter!

well folks based on some cookie mix which makes 6 cookies and requires 25g butter, so, basically thinking that 6 cookies between 2 people (who are fairly new to it all) one night...how much weed would need to go into 25g butter? and is this even possible to do?

Guys: Don't go over 2 grams, especially for a first time.

Swim was stoned out of his mind in a bad way for over 24 hours from 2g of decent regs cooked into brownies.

Swim's friend who never had pot before ate 1g and had a horrible time, stoned out of their mind for about 28 hours. They never touched pot again, and had such a bad time they now hate it.

Agreed with the not over 2g thing. SWIM and a friend did the cannabutter method, using a little over 2.5g of pretty potent skunk. The boiling method was done twice with 25g of butter, in the end giving SWIM about 50g of butter. Anyway, SWIM isn't such a great cook but made some alright tasting cookie like baked product.

It took like 2 hours to kick in properly, so SWIM and the mate ending up eating it all, and getting completely smashed. It's definitely one for doing inside and in a free house for until you get the balance right. It sort of creeps up. SWIM was lying on a bed moving his arm around like a clock and making odd noises

It's not even about having good pot. Swim had his horrible OD experience with 2 grams of regs! Nothing special here!

Hehe awesome! SWIM has eaten Europe's "Poo Bar" many times, usually sprinkled into a yoghurt or onto chocolate and has gotten very wrecked up. He would usually put anything up to 3.5g and thats would be wayyy plenty.

SWIM fairly recently cooked a fry-up with one other friend, I think he probably used between £XXX worth (can't remember exactly now and only eyeballed it at the time anyway) of pretty standard weed between both of them, he simply ground it up and fried it in butter for a while and spread it on the toast! Was VERY stoned for a good 4-5 hours (e.g. seeing flashing geometric patterns on the wall), but the effects didn't go away completely for well over 12 hours. Was generally a fun time but took SWIM by surprise Anyway SWIM doesn't really see the need for fancy recipes, as long as it's cooked in something fatty this releases the THC into the mixture.
