Experiences - Want Your Advice on Adderall use

swim is prescribed regular 30mg adderall twice a day and 10mg in afternoon for ADHD swim started off by taking as prescribed,but at one time was a heavy meth smoker, loves the effects of speed, and so swim started taking more than daily prescribed...and then swim got significant other 'hooked' too..so swim and partner share swims prescription. which is great until swim is out and knows that the few days "high" still doesnt give swim the affect swim gets when taken as directed....sorry first time for swim to try to explain...Swim wants to know if there is anyone who can give advice on slowing it down and why swim should ....B.t.w. swim has ingested over 300mg in the last 24hours. so at that rate swims rx doesnt last longer than 3-4days. swim knows it cant be good for their health, swim smokes cigs like a fucking freight train when speedin and drinks a pot of coffee But swim says everytime that they wont do more than the first night binge, but then swim and partner cant stop...first because of the awesome feeling...then by end of day 2 to just function thru the day...and day three what the hell those few pills arent gonna help swim anyway...swim says sorry he wrote so much but swim just got reupped so.....

That's how it is though, right? Addiction sucks...but at the same time, swiy's brain doesn't want it to end... Heart problems come on with little to no warning, and once that happens, there's not much they can do about it for the long term. Swim is currently in a similar situation, except he buys prescriptions off other people, for lack of medical insurance and the hassle of going to the doctor. Read about the surgery for "Aortic arch anuerysms" and realize that it's a VERY possible outcome of long term use...it might put a little fear in swiy... Sorry if I ramble. It's late and I'm tired but can't sleep

Thanks for sharing..i'm new to this forum but it has been very educating and may open swims stubborn eyes to what they could be "playing" around with...

just a footnote to thread...swim did get a few hours rest / sleep late last nite but has popped a few more to make it thru day and 2 cups of coffee and a vitamin that also has caffeine But swim is paying for it now cuz of these symptoms that swim is having sweeps of lightheadedness...and panic...so swim needs to keep awaY from the coffee and chill the fuck out before disaster!

I was wondering what is the highest amount of adderall a doctor can prescribe a day? I personally take 100mgs a day

Doctors can prescribe up to 60mg a day, but I think that's more for people with narcolepsy....although one can still get a prescription that high for ADHD if their body will take it safetly. Swim has also taken more than that in a day though....

I was taking 100mg now my doc upped me to 140 mg day I have add

They're not technically supposed to...it's not an FDA approved dosage, but they can prescribe whatever they want under certain circumstances I guess.

Is SWIy sure their dosage is that high? That is well over the 60mg limit. Lucky SWIy.

SWIM recommends at least limiting SWIy's binges to 3x normal dose every weekend instead of blowing through a bottle during the first couple days of the Rx.

It sounds like SWIy is already very tolerant of the drug. Is the high worth the loss in productivity during the week?

I need the adderall to get throught the week i would'nt think it would be worth the binge.
