Kidney problems due to salt content of NaGHB?
SWIM's friend recently had problems with his kidneys. He felt a steady pain in both kidneys after an good night on NaGHB.
Any of you SWIMS here have experienced this before?? |

Re: kidney probs due to Na in G
Swim has experienced this with Gbl but not with NAGHB, but then again Swim is a light and occasional user. The salt content could cause a problem for some people who have perhaps overindulged in it or have stressed their kidneys with gbl previously. Pain is the bodies message to ease up a bit on usage.

Re: kidney probs due to Na in G
The salt issue regarding NaGHB seems to be popping up quite frequently at the moment but, according to published figures for Xyrem, there is only .182g of sodium in a gram of NaGHB.
This means that, at the therapeutic sleep doses for narcoleptic patients, 2 x 4.5g every night equates to 1.6g of sodium. Whilst that is still a good pinch of salt, the daily recommended intake is still 6g so there is plenty of room as long as the patient is eating a good diet and drinking plenty of water, which everyone should be doing anyway. Other than that one could eat a banana or tomato or anything else that's high in potassium to counteract the sodium. |
