Can you die your first time trying XTC?

I suppose so. MDMA is a very safe compound but, for example, a person could do it for the first time and go out dancing and die of dehydration (probably the most common health issue with mdma). However, most ecstasy tablets are not pure mdma and may be cut with speed or other substances; there have even been pills cut with dextromethorphan, the combination of which can have adverse health effects.
I would not consider it likely by any means that someone would die of an ecstasy tablet as long as they stay hydrated and it isn't some horribly impure pill with god knows what in it.

Taking multiple pills is a surefire way to OD from whatever substances happen to be in them.

Always start with no more than 1 pill. Do not listen to others saying "Oh dude well you gotta start with 5 pills since its your first time, blah".

Also, do not continue to take pills if they aren't doing anything at first. Swim OD'ed on a substance that did not kick in for about 2-3 hours. By then, Swim had taken 3 of the pills.

Its extremely unlikely to die from ecstasy. Swim has a friend who almost died after taking around 15 pills at once(he was arrested for selling but the cops did not find the pills hidden near his balls and he ate them all on the way to the precinct). These were strong pills too. He was hosptilized but lived. Chances are you will not be taking that many. lol.

MDMA is a really safe drug. If you take pure MDMA is much safer because you can see exactly how much/what you are taking, unlike pills. As far as I know, nobody has ever died just from taking MDMA.

IF one were to have a heart condition, there is a possibility of dying. But for the most part as long as one is in good physical shape, one should be ok. But as heretic said, dehydration is a serious issue with MDMA. It does increase body temperature, heart rate, and breathing. If one is dancing or being very active on top of this, it could cause excessive water loss. It could also potentially put undo stress on the heart and lungs. One should use caution with all drugs! Keep an eye on heart rate, breathing, and body temperature. But most important drink plenty of fluids.

there is always the possibility, but like the poster above said, if you havent got a heart condition, swiy should be fine.
