Combinations - kava and kratom?

SWIM ordered some 84% kavalactone paste with his recent purchase of bali leaves... he has never tried kava but was wondering if anyone has experience with this combination? His first dose will be a tea made with 12grams of kratom (normal dose for him) into tea, and 2 pea sized balls of paste.

SWIM has tried this combonation with 84% kavalactone paste and 2g 15x kratom which provided a very strong opiate like high 2 pea balls as recomended on the label of the kavalactone paste for SWIM is generally not enough tho...SWIM recommends at least 3

Well, Swim's friend takes about 10 caps of 250mg kava that is about 30-35% kavalactones to reach a good spot.

Just start slow dude. Work slowly up on the dosing, you can always redose later. You don't want to take too much and get sick or throw it all up. I doubt one can OD to the point of death with these two drugs, but be careful for the sake of being careful. You can ALWAYS add more later.

SWIM is still building a reverse tolerance, he hasn't had much effects at all from the kava kava over the past two days. He felt VERY disorganized, and lacked motivation at work the next day..

My cat sometimes uses kava of some sort a few hours after taking kratom. The effect is pleasant, he says, but it's necessary to keep kava doses fairly low to avoid nausea.

SWIM took 14g of kratom before work, about 4hrs. after dosing he ate 3-4 pea sized balls of kavalactone paste... an hour after that he smoked a blunt of medium grade marijuana... SWIM felt this to be similar to a weak dose of LSD... he made the mistake of driving a few blocks from his house to smoke the blunt... SWIM suggests NEVER driving on kava, even if it is a short distance.

A Monkey should be extremely careful about taking other drugs with kratom. It's easy to think that because it's legal (in the USA at least) - it's harmless. And that's a very bad attitude to approach ANY psychoactive material with. The truth is closer to: Just because it's a plant and is legal and available, it is misunderstood, inadequately researched, and capable of causing dangerous reactions. This includes mixing it with sedatives - even sweet little old Kava~Kava which many think is weak or inactive. Bongo has known people who did this and, quite literally, couldn't walk across a room without holding on to things to prevent their falling down.

The list of other drugs that kratom can have unpredictable interactions with is only in it's nascent stages. We just don't know - yet. Don't become an unwitting test-pilot and wind up in the hospital. Remember - the government is always looking for new and creative ways to stop people from having fun. Don't give the bastards any ammunition.

Kava is not weak at all! Large doses of kava mixed with large doses kratom could be highly unpleasant. My cat has made himself feel very green just mixing moderate doses of these two combined.

True. But some people take Kava~Kava and swear it doesn't affect them. My guess is many times these folks don't know what they are looking for. And unless they end up a fist-fight, or unconscious on the floor,they are not getting high from whatever.

Swim thinks kava gives too much drowsiness and knocks him out fast. It sorta wastes the kratom high which is more energetic. He now just uses each for it's own purpose,
