Drug info - Mexican legality...anyone?

I'm just about to visit Mexico and was wondering what the technical legalities behind benzos is there. Having just finished my university degree, I also just finished my valium prescription, and have found it fairly difficult to sleep recently.

So - would I be able to present my old prescription for a fillup? Do benzos even need prescriptions within Mexico? And, if the answer is yes, could anyone guess as to their availability?

if swiy is going to go into a mexican pharmacy, swiy can buy a prescription and then buy the medication separately

We have been told that one can purchase 10mg tablets of valium over-the-counter in at least some parts of Mexico without ID or a prescription.

swim is pretty sure many drugs can be purchased over the counter in mexico, at least certain parts. swim knows a friend who went to mexico and bought many benzodiazepines (diazepam, alprazolam, ect.) as well as many opioids over the counter. swim would really, really like to know more about the availability of these as far as whats OTC and where, especially the opioids but other drugs like benzos and definatly barbituates like phenobarbital. if anyone has any information swim would really like to know. please talk about it or send PM to swim.

SWIM is Mexican and never been able to buy benzos without a prescription in a regular drug store here in Mexico, but i heard you can buy benzos without prescription in 1)drug stores that are in poor areas or 2) drugs stores in cities full of tourist (principally beaches).

So if you just go walk in to a drug store and try to buy without prescription, in SWIMs experience, you wont be able to get them.

A friend of my fiend went to Mexico during a trip through the Americas and he said that there was a pharmacy that basically invited him in to buy diazepam. This was some years ago now and i can't recall what he paid for them but the prices were really good and he managed to get plenty.

Swim has never been to Mexico, but swim knows that in Thailand all sorts can be bought in a pharmacy.. Swim has been told that in Mexico even stronger meds can be bought specially Mexico/America borther..

Look for small pharmacy's, make sure only you and staff are in there and someone can push the boat out !!

Swim has been to Cancun many times.Some pharmacies will sell Valium otc and oxycodones. Not legal. The safest is have your hotel call there Doctor, he will call you at your room. Tell Him what bothers you. He will bring the pills. Pay him about $40 for the call and the pills are cheap. All can be done in about a hour then back to the Fun!

In Cancun SWIM bought a decent amount of Soma (which is legal in US anyways) and Valium from the pharmacy right across from the hotel. He has family in TJ yet hasn't tried to buy anything in the pharmacies there. Any SWIMs have luck buying stuff there? SWIM would assume it is VERY easy, but his anxiety prevents him from just going and asking, since he never knows who is a family members friend (keeps his substance use secret from family).

SWim still says why make it stressful for yourself. Just ask you hotel to have there Doctor call you tell him what you want and why. It is easy he brings the pills to your room,pay him around $40usd for the house call and for the pills cheap. SWim got valiums and oxycodone,Then enjoy the entertainment and the sun. Any old bottle with your name on it will get you that again, but it is not needed. again no sweat

SWIM has heard that prescriptions like oxy's and benzo's etc in mexico are easy to get. however he has heard that the places a person cant get them from are always shady and do shady operations. but if thats the case then what are the chances of getting unsafe pills? is it possible that they manufacture them differently(possibly dangerously) or use different fillers that can make them dangerous?

or is swim just being paranoid. it just seems to good to be true to tun past the border and pick up a bunch of valium and oxy's

SWIM has purchased Benzo's, Opioids, Ketamine, Soma, Tequila, Cuban Cigars, etc. for YEARS in Tijuana, 99% of the time OTC. Some pills are cheap, others are outrageously expensive (Opioids). Depends who from and where for SWIY makes da buy. AVOID taxi drivers, and or ANYONE who hucks them to you in the street. They are BAD NEWS. Make the moves SWIyourself, which may include visiting dozens of farmacias/veterinary farmacias until SWIY scores. Its actually kinda fun, seeing what SWIY can actually purchase over the counter. One time SWIM lucked into 30mg Astramorph for very cheap, and the occasional hydromorphone tabs.
