Effects - Downer E Pill?

SWIM has consulted google, searched this forum, and asked various people but is still unable to come up with an answer to this question.

how is a downer e pill different from an upper e pill in terms of composition and things it can be cut with?

last weekend SWIM had a friend pick up some rolls that were called g's up hoe's down. SWIM knew that there were two kinds of those pills. on the side with the g, there is a dot to either the left side of the g, or a dot to the right side of the g. dot to the left being a downer, and dot to the right being an upper. SWIM's friend went to go pick them up and SWIM told him if it was a downer pill SWIM wanted nothing to do with that.

well turns out he forgot which way it should be when he got there and bought them anyways. they were downers. so SWIM figured that he had already threw money on them, and was really looking forward to rolling face, so SWIM would try it anyways. and honestly, it was terrible. SWIM felt like i was tripping his balls off the whole time, more than rolling face.

the only time SWIM could decently feel the rolls, and decently carry a conversation was if he was sitting down somewhere. SWIM has rolled hard off of good pills before and these ones last night were nothing like it. none of the euphoric, happy go lucky, talk to everyone at the party feeling that SWIM has come to love.

all and all, it was an interesting trip, because SWIM has never gotten that much of a mental trip from rolls before (he's usually too busy running around talking) but going out to party's on it just didnt work out. the only time SWIM could see downers being decent would be if youre just chilling out with a few close friends, not at a party with 50 people.

Simple answer. Traditionally pills sold as "e" contained only or primarely MDMA. Plain and simple. No upper "e", no downer "e". It was mdma however one classifies that. These days a person has no clue what they are getting so a lot of these pills should not be sold as ecstasy.

So to answer the question there could be any type of stimulant, benzo, opiate(unlikely), barbiturate, caffeine, dangerous amphetamine analog, etc. It goes on and on and on. If a pill contains one of these adulterants in addition to MDMA, then one might feel it's effects along with the effects of any of the above adulterants. Hope this helped.

SWIM was also wondering, is it possible or even heard of for pills to be cut with DXM? SWIM knows that DXM comes in powdered form, though somewhat rare and SWIM is unaware of the cost of it.

the reason why SWIM wonders this is because both SWIM and his friend were getting this weird sensation in their throats as if they were numb or as if they had a lump in them. SWIM realized that was the exact sensation he gets in his throat every time he has taken DXM. also, the spacey effects of the pill were somewhat reminiscent of DXM.


also to people raving about the the pills with a g's up hoe's down stamp...the ones with the dot to the right are the ones that everyone raves about, and SWIM knows are very good. the ones with the dot to the left are less common, often cut dirty (lucky not this time for SWIM) and all and all less enjoyable.

yes actually many pills are cut with dxm, including the notorius "green triangles" which were everywhere and contained nothing but dxm but were sold as xtc.

To swib pure mdma has a "downer" effect. Many people but speed in pressed pills to give it an "up" effect. DXM is a common cut/replace for mdma. Has one tested the pills?

SWIM did think that maybe he did get pure mdma for a little bit, especially on the come up when SWIM was completely mashed for around an hour, but the similarities between that trip and a robotrip were just too uncanny to brush off.

SWIM would like to test the pills, just for curiosity's sake, but he doesnt think that one of those home test kits would help him. from what SWIM gathers, the test kits will tell you if the pill contains mdma (which SWIM is pretty sure that it does) but they wont help him determine what other possible addulterents it could contain.

SWIM still has one of the pills from the last roll, and another pill from around a year ago that was cut very, very dirty. SWIM is thinking that he might try the acetone wash discussed in the stickied section otherwise they are more or less worthless to SWIM.

I would guess that an upper pill is a pill with xtc in it, and a downer pill is one made of drugs that try to simulate MDMA, but never quite get the experience. It sounds similar to when SWIM took one of those legal pills (which, I'm telling ya, they may be legal, but they are bloody strong: DONT double drop them like SWIM did), which basically gives you all the side effects of E, numb body, jaw clenching, nice feeling when moving, but it lacks the essential component in your brain that makes you love everyone and feel euphoric like E does. So I think it was proabably one of these legal ones, which contain BZP and something else I cant remember at the mo. But for SWIM it wasn't nice at all, after the initial average buzz had subsided after and hour or so, SWIM just got well paranoid and SWIM couldn't sleep for like 24 hours, and his pupils were huge the whole time. It did give him a unique experience however, let himslef look at his life in a different way, for example he decided to quit smoking weed after this, which he hasn't done since, which was a good decision overall. So all was not lost. But in all, the buzz was not nice at all, and SWIM would definately describe it as a downer. Dont know how people can take thoses things regularly.

That could be what these downers are. But my guess is as good as anyones. You should send it off to be tested.

People have cut pills with everything imaginable. There are cuts used even beyond that of the ones shown on dancesafe. Keep in mind with dancesafe, most of their reports are older, and have very few newer reports over the past few years; it costs to have a pill tested now.

Although people have flamed Swim for it in the past, downer drugs can and do end up in pills, either with or without MDMA. That includes opioids like heroin. Swim has seen this firsthand being put into a pressing. Bad dealers will always take whatever they can get and have it put into pills, based solely on price. If someone can take bulk amphetamines and press it into pills and sell it, they will always make more doing that than selling it as pure amphetamine, as least in the US. MDMA does not exactly present itself to being availible to many.

SWIM doesnt really know what to think anymore. SWIM was looking up reports for g's up hoes down on various sites and was getting conflicting reports. then SWIM took the pill he bought last weekend, and compared it to the pill he bought a year ago, (which both had the same markings), and realized that they were from two different presses. at first glance, they seemed to be the same, but when he looked closely at the g, he saw the the edges were rounded where they came to a point on one, and the edges of the other were square. yeah...

even though SWIM would like to know once and for all what is in his pill, he doest want to spend more money to send it away to get tested, and he isnt crazy about the idea of mailing an e pill to some address he found on the interent that said it would test pills...

from what SWIM has read, mda is more visual and hallucinagenic (SWIM has never done pure mda or pure mdma so SWIM cant be 100%) and from the throat thing, and the spacyness of the pill, SWIM is going to assume that it was a combination of mda and dxm.

granted it could be a million other things, and if anyone else can think of anything else it would be greatly appreciated.
