b12

Last night swim was at a concert, and this kid had that spike energy drink, and bragged about how much b12 it had. So I did a little research, and it turns out it can give you some energy. Browsed brielfly through erowid, but didn't find anything, so swim figgured he'd take 500mg and see what happens.
About 15min. later, swim thought there was some energy boost, but it's a geeked out feeling. Very jittery. Swim's head hurts but it's possibly from the computer screen for a while, and he's had eye pains for about a week or 2. That's where it stands now, but swim'll update.

Anyone else even think of this?

Re: b12

yes, vitamin b12 is known for energy effects, it apparently helps the body convert sugars into ATP used for energy on the cellular level. From everything i know , its not a recreational energy, more of a "i feel well rested and healthy" type of energy.

EDIT: nevermind, re-reading its b6 that does the ATP thing... don't know much on b12 but according to Wikipedia "Vitamin B-12 is normally involved in the metabolism of every cell of the body, especially affecting the DNA synthesis and regulation but also fatty acid synthesis and energy production"

Re: b12

Wikipedia is hardly a point of reference for medical info.
There are various B vitamins that give energy.

Re: b12

Well of course it isn't useful for medical information, was just pointing a reference to b12 being energizing.

Re: b12

It did give swim a mild rush, like a good energy drink would do, but there were some nasty chest pains when swim would breathe. But this could be because swim's been meditating lately, and expanding lung capacity, and this type of thing has happend a couple days ago.

Re: b12

400mg of Niacin - B3 - will cause a rush and elevated alertness in most people, but it's unpleasant. One's face feels like it's burning and they turn orange. Still larger doses may cause toxic effects including fulminant liver-failure. It is also potentially dangerous to those with diabetes and other disorders where the blood-sugar levels need to be maintained.

Re: b12

yea it wasn't very comfortable, but at low doses it would go good with a cup of coffe or tea, instead of drinking 5 cups. Swim got very alert and jumpy, nothing to get hyped too much about, but something that would just help you wake up.

Swim tried it 2 days later, 600mg, and didn't have any bad health effects, exept a mild headache. The breathing problem was unrelated.

Re: b12

Is it illegal to buy vitamin b12 injects in the UK?
Swims mate knew a doctor who would inject vitamin b12 into actors that was feeling tired. The special feature on disk two of near dark made swim remember it.
Swim was just wondering if it was illegal to buy injectable solutions on the internet.

On another note is there anything legal that is injectable apart from distilled water that is legal?

Re: b12

Swim felt kinda like a mild crystal meth tweakish after driving for twelve hours straight then taking a shot of the 5-hoiur energy which is based mostly on B12. It was a calm tweakish unlike he usually experiences from initial sleep deprevation (About 12-20hrs of awake Swim will feel manic and tweakish for a while) because he is manic depressive. So it kinda felt the same as that but in a less jittery and nervous sense. Maybe the Shot thing has some other stuff in it to smooth out the experience than just b12 alone.

Swim heard some Crystal cooks talk about cutting b12 into their dope.
