Never tryed it but on news last night heard my state(RI) wants to
ban it. Here is what I can gather from report. A machine is used to vaporize ethanol and mix it with oxygen which is then inhaled. The process was compared to freebase cocaine due to fact that instead of alchohol slowly entering bloodstream it goes throug lungs directly into bloodstream. If I can find any info elsewhere Ill post back. I came here to see if anybody had tried awol myself. |

Look up the "sniffing vodka thread" on the search engine. Most
people who tried this awol thing werent too impressed. Looks like the hype to get this banned in my state was just more right wing BS. How come Im not surprised. |

SWIM thinks Xanax in larger doses is a lot like alcohol, except without the dizzies & nausea. So you could say that according to him, there's already pills that do almost the same thing.

Both seem like very interesting developments in the world of alcohol consumption. There's a bit of a "junkie" element to it though which makes me wonder whether it will be kept legal for long. The idea is to get as much alcohol into you without going through the ritual of stomaching large amounts of liquor or beer. The main thing that keeps the alcohol business going is popular tradition (and probably a lot of bribery to suppress other safe but classified illegal drugs). If the tradition of alcohol companies keeping the other drugs down continues into the next century, I could see these new forms of alcohol becoming very successful and will make a lot of money. This is probably bad news for enjoyers of illegal drugs because it is my firm belief that as long as the alcohol companies are top, everything else will be kept down in the grand scale of things.Edited by: nature_boy_liam

yep, its sad why can't they just tax everything instead of pushing only more socially excepted things(pot an exception because it is socially excepted)

That powdered alcohol must be pretty bad for you, it must have some chemical that makes the melting temperature much lower. Because from what i understand alcohol, at room temperature, no matter what is always a liquid.

so as far as the powdered stuff goes, does this mean you could potentially start blowing lines of alcohol???
that sounds sexy |

Could this powdered alcohol be a way around the intoxilizer 5000? or would the effects be the same as soon as it got into ur blood stream?

Re: AWOL: Alcohol Without Liquid
Sorry to bring up a very very old thread but spongebob heard about sniffing alcohol recently but not like the ways described here and think it's worth discussing about
"Take 100% pure alcohol and put a few drops onto a cloth and sniff it." Seems possible? |

Re: AWOL: Alcohol Without Liquid
Easier to drop some alcohol in a hot pan and inhale the fumes. Don't even need to get the high octane stuff.
It's interesting, short acting, and well worth it if your cooking, but nothing you want to make a habit of. When the alcohol is inhaled in vapor form, some of it gets directly to the brain, bypassing the liver, this can lead to acute toxicity in much smaller doses, possibly actual brain damage. The AWOL system was calibrated to only allow one shot an hour so as to prevent this from occurring But if you're cooking and it calls for wine or booze, take a sniff!. |

Re: AWOL: Alcohol Without Liquid
It would be very interesting if this takes off, especially as a street drug... It would me much less harder for people to out alcohol in a seperate category to other drugs. Something like this is bound to get seriously abused though; imagine how much more dangerous drinking contests could become.
