Extraction - Kratom Tincture? Help with converting to powder

Has anyone ever had any experience in making a kratom tincture?

SWIM recently made a kratom tincture out of 36grams of 15x kratom extract which was placed into a homemade liquid extract (alcohol 75.5%extract) of plain kratom leaf and ended up with close to 2 fl oz. of tincture...the tincture turned out to be really thick in consistancy comparable to syrup...long story short SWIM says the tincture tastes like ass and requires around 2ml to feel strong effects. SWIMs question is, is it possible to let the alcohol evaporate enough so that the tincture is converted into powdered extract? and if so how would one go about doing so? SWIM has tried himself with little success.

Does nebody kno if putting the tincture in the oven would do anything?????

SWIM would suggest not putting it in the oven, generally if you evap all the alcohol you are left with crystals that could be ground down to powder.

SWIM tried to evaporate the alcohol at room tempurature with no success so then tried in the oven at 100 degrees F which seems to b working SWIM hopes this wont degrade the potency of the kratom tho

It takes a few days for alcohol to evap.

Pour the tincture into a flat, shallow glass pyrex like pan/dish. Let it sit in a dark, closed room for a few days to a week. Come back, and scrape it clean. Problem solved!

SWIM has tried that in a flat dish but due to the thick syrupy consistency SWIM thinks it is not evaporating well...SWIM has been lazy with the process due to not being at home much and has been putting it in the oven on and off at 100 degrees F to help the evap process...so far its working but does SWIY think this will degrade the potency due to the heat?

I would not try the oven thing. It could degrade. Swim has ruined drugs doing this when he was not sure if it would work. Always find solid proof before doing the oven thing.

Put it in a dark room like I said, but put a fan blowing on it. Nothing too strong, just constant airflow. That will help. Using a heat lamp or a hot light is a bad idea. Light degrades too many drugs. Also, try putting the dish on something warm, like the top of a older tv, or in a hot room.

Im sure many rats have tried a similar thing to this heRbaLhEaLeR19, I know SWIM has. Impatience is definately not a virtue and generally leads to poor quality but hey ho, its done now.

Let it b known SWIM did not buy a pre made tincture, SWIM bought 36 grams 15x and an Oz regular leaves. SWIM then proceeded to alcohol extract the Oz in 151 proof Bacardi, after straining SWIM placed into a medicine bottle dropper where he proceeded to ad the 36 grams extract where the syrupy like final product was created. SWIM tried the tincture with about 1.5ml strong effects were noted but the syrup was very nasty and even when mixed with OJ was not very well masked and had a clumpy consistency (almost puked drinking it), needless to say 1.5 ml yeilded exceptional results...wuld compare 2 2 or 3 grams extract consumed...SO after this nasty experiment SWIM decided it would b easier to consume in powder form so he/she decided to evaporate off the alcohol in hopes that the final product would produce strong effects when using pea sized amounts of the powder..SWIM will let the forum kno how it turned out

There is this web-site that sell an e-book explain "a special" way to make a strong kratom extract not just leaving kratom in an alcoholic solution.

The book is cheap, but somehow SWIM' s prepaid visa does not work with Paypal???????

If anyone find the book, and buy it SWIM would REALLY appreciate if SWIY can post the method here.
