Combinations - Hydrocodone + Carisoprodol

SWIM has heard Hydrocodone + Carisoprodol (Soma) muscle relaxants make a good combo, but SWIM wants to be careful, since SWIM knows they are both CNS depressants which can lead to respiratory depression in high doses. What is the dose of each that SWIM would *not* want to exceed if they are combined? Would 15mg hydro + 700mg soma be excessive? Thanks.

Of course, it should first be noted that things like weight, stomach contents, personal body chemistry, etc should be taken into account.

Indeed, that particular combo is quite powerful, so be careful. Always best to start low and go up.

Your doses seem within reasonable limits. Swim's experience is NOT to exceed 2.5 or 3 350mg carisoprodol tabs, or else swim becomes an incoherent babbling fool with anterograde amnesia the next day. If your monkey isn't getting the desired effect (and trust Swim, you'll know without question), the zoo keeper recommends increasing the hydro as opposed to the carisoprodol.

Nota Bene: Carisoprodol (Soma) is a "pro-drug" -- that means it actually turns into another active drug (almost like heroin turns into morphine) -- in this case, a much older muscle relaxer meprobamate...meprobamate accumulates in the body over time, so if done regularly, swiy will have more pixie dust in his system than he realizes. Be careful. Know your substance.

Swim has never tried soma before...is one 350mg pill noticeable? with or without hydro?

if your cat wants to get used to soma, try giving it one and maybe 2 another time or something

my cat got really sedated after 2 350mg tabs when he had soma and hydro together

Swim's first experiences with just carisoprodol were taking 3 to 4 at night while watching a movie or random TV before bed. the cat recalls it a nice way to drift into sleep...there's a phenomenon with alcohol though, "drunk dialing" ....swim's sure he doesn't need to explain what that is, but events similar to such have happened. Carisoprodol is often described as "being drunk without the stupid"

Swim once took a 350mg soma to make a smooth comedown from some particularly strong pure cocaine. Worked well for making Swim a bit more mellow, and rather quickly. The effects of 350mg were felt even under the influence of the cocaine.

Would combining the two (hydrocodone and carisoprodol) increase mainly sedation, or would more nodding be possible?

700mg of carisoprodol (and, by default, meprobamate) with 15mg of hydrocodone would knock most people out flat. Not recommended. The risk of respiratory depression and worse is far too high.

Is combining hydrocodone and alprazolam (xanax) just as, more, or less dangerous than hydrocodone and carisoprodol (soma)?

How long should SWIM wait after taking xanax or soma to take some hydrocodone? 4-6 hours, or a couple days so that it's all out of SWIM's body?

Swim has at least heard of dr. instructions to take both hydro and carisoprodol at the same time for extreme pain. Can't say he's ever heard of being told to take the hydro and alprazolam at the same time.
