Drug Dreams.

I was half-sure I had seen a thread on this somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

I've been having semi-regular drug dreams of late. Last night I dreamt I injected morphine, which I've only experienced in the hospital, and then I was coming off of heavy anesthesia so I don't remember it well. It was particularly peculiar as I've never had much interest in opiates. I feel this may mean I've passed a few too many recent hours on drugs-forum...

Does anyone else frequently experience drug dreams?

SWIM has 'pipe-dreams' all the time .... it's been three weeks since SWIM last had any crack-cocaine (or heroin for that matter). In the day SWIM finds she's craving H but at night if anything she dreams about that first blissful pipe! She's come off drugs in the past so she's quite used to it by now but it is frustrating when she wakes up and her first thought is about drugs.
The dream she has been having most recently though has a slight difference to it: she keeps dreaming that she is at home and there is a whole pile of crack-cocaine on the table in front of her. She has a home-made pipe ready to smoke it and really wants it, but every time she goes to put a rock on the pipe it falls off and so SWIM can't smoke it even if she wants too .... and believe me in the dream at least she really does!
Anyone fancy analysing that one?! Lol.

Swim had a dream a few nights ago that he was out in a field picking mushrooms. He wasn't sure what kind of mushrooms they were, but was hoping they were magical. He decided to eat one, but then immediately regretted it and began trying to spit it out. Swim woke up spitting on his pillow. He tells me it was gross.

Then more recently, he dreamed that he had fully colonized BRF cakes. He birthed them and placed them on the counter. He turned around for a moment, and when he focused his attention back on the cakes they already had sprouted full grown mushrooms. He picks one off and eats it. He then regrets it because he has company. He begins to trip and have anxiety over looking like an ass in front of his guests. Then he wakes up.

Swim wonders why in both dreams he ends up regretting ingesting mushrooms - their are always mitigating circumstances that lead him to want to expel the drug.

He then related to me that he is probably having these dreams because of increased time spent on DF... however how the dreams ended up is still a bit fascinating.

Swim is not in recovery/addicted in any form, and dreams of using drugs all the time. Usually nitrous oxide the most.

swim used to dream about injecting heroin on a very frequent basis while he was actively addicted and all the time when he was trying to quit. sometimes the dreams would be so intense he'd wake up with his heart pounding, feeling dope sick, and he'd use if he had some dope on hand or if he had anyother opiate on hand, if he didnt he'd go out and score; luckily due to swims work schedule he slept from during the morning to early afternoon so his dealer was always awake. it sucked on occassions when he didnt work and he slept at night and he woke up because his heroin-using dream got too intense and it was like 2am, he had to wait hours till his dealer woke up and going to sleep again was out of the question, it was hell.

since swim got on methadone he had very few heroin dreams and the ones he had never woke him up.

Swim gets the H dream every other night especially when abusing other less potent opiates. Somehow swim always seems to be all fingers and thumbs in the dream, unable to find a vein and/or breaks/loses the rig despite being in a bad state of desperate craving. Swim also never quite manages to successfully shoot up in dreamland.

H dreams are the worst, swim had them all the time for up to a year after getting clean. So vivid too, back amongst swim's old crowd of fellow fiends. And then waking up to reality and stone cold sobriety, really effected swim for the rest of the day. Upon having such dreams swim would often want a drink or a smoke of weed or anything really as soon as he woke up, anything other than H of course.

Recently, after cutting down on his poppy tea intake and having no kratom to help him through, swim has been having the most horrid dreams. He slept most of yesterday, just waking up to go to the toilet or get a drink, had no energy to do anything else, felt really sick. Has been like this for most of the week. Having a small dose of tea about every two days, just to get him by until his kratom arrives.

Like last night he dreamt that he got shot, rushed to hospital and everything. He dreamt he was an mc and he was on the mic when this other mc from a rival "crew" came along and shot swim. Bizarre, seeing as swim hasn't watched any movies lately with this kinda subject matter, or even listened to any hip hop in a while.
Then later on this dream, swim and his "crew" went and done a warehouse robbery. Most bizarre.
There seems to be a theme of guns running through his dreams recently, as a few nights before he dreamt he was getting chased by army type people with guns. So swim hid in this dream and seemed to become part of the rock he was hiding between, these army type guys took this rock and done analysis on it for traces of swim!
And that goes back to another dream swim had a few days earlier where swim dreamt of a French person getting murdered and hid in a rock, and swim was put to the task of analysing this rock or something. All very bizarre.

A few nights before he also had a horrible dream of being back with the most vile of ex-girlfriends, and she was forcing swim to perform sex acts on her. Yuck!!
Before this sexing he was chasing one of her friends indiana jones stylee for something she had, swim forgets what. All very horrible anyway.

Swim cannot bloody wait for his kratom to arrive. Then he'll back to his normal self.

And he's sorry to go on, but he just had to get that out!

last night SWIM had a drug dream. In his dream he was walking along the river in the city he used to live in and met up with an old friend and bought 3 blotter tabs of acid that were still connected together in an L-shape. He then teleported home, which in the dream was a trailer in the mountains. On the blotters was a picture of an eye, the artwork was mostly blue and purple, with liquidy psychedelic colours surrounding the eye. He tried placing it on the tongue with no effect. So he tried poking the eye with the tips of his tounge and the blotter blinked, then he placed the blotters on his forehead and they fused to his skin. Immediately he started seeing with the eye on the blotter instead of his normal eyes and he was immediately tripping. The rest of the dream is a bit of a blur as he doesn't remember dreams very well but he does recall seeing 2 rag dolls talking to each other.

The strangest thing about this dream though is that SWIM has never he taken LSD before, so it's a bit odd to have a dream about it.

SWIM has dreamed of being under the influence of mushrooms (always involves liberty caps for some reason), acid, 2-CI, coke, meth, and probably others forgotten. The effects are very realistic, and most of the time the dreams' circumstances are extremely fucked up to begin with.

Probably the most common dream along these lines that SWIM has is this stupid dream where SWIM will be trying to smoke, but the cigarette keeps falling apart in SWIM's mouth. That dream sucks.

Though it's probably trying to tell SWIM something.

swim had this dream about 20 years ago(still remember it like it was yesterday). swim and swims cousin were doing a bunch of coke(back when swim couldnt get it because swim didnt know anybody who sold it, swim was young) and it was killer shit. It was blue. swim woke up feeling super geeked thinking he had more of this in his closet(swim stashed it there in his dream), then was suddenly let down when he realized it was a dream.
