Drug info - GHB and Aphrodisiac effects

SWIM is interested in ghb's aphrodesiac effect and what causes it. (yeh he's a pervert, he doesn't care) Read tonight that GHB affects both GHB receptors and GABA(B) receptors. The former causes stimulation, the latter sedates, and I'll bet also produces the disinhibitive effect. A few months ago someone said on a sex stimulation thread, 'anything that reduces inhibitions and stimulates dopamine' (from memory) would do the trick. And SWIM asked what about combos of downers and uppers, say ghb or a benzo with a stimulant say MDPV (which alone is supposed to get the rabbits jumping) SWIM didn't get much of a response, but since he stumbled across the info above again he thought he'd ask again. Any experiences? Any links? Anything?

A more appropriate title for this thread would have been "GHB and Aphrodisiac effects" as opposed to just "GHB actions", which sounds like it would be about how the drug works.

Anyway, from Swim's experience, when it comes to seeking a specific effect, experimentation is required.

For example, Coke does nothing to make Swim at all sexually inclined. Swim knows people who equate coke with having sex. Everyone will get at the least mildly different effects from drugs. It's just about what works for Swiy as a sexual stimulant or aphrodisiac.

Try different things. Find out what effects SWIY the most, although other's opinions can be a good starting point.

Also, just having loss on inhibition/dopamine action does not make something an aphrodisiac. Swim has quite a few that do neither of the above.

Fair enough but there are some substances that work really well for a large number of people.(GHB, meth, MDPV) I'd like to know why they work. Need to do more reading.

From SWIMs experience GBL and GHB makes user extremely horny but maybe not so great when it comes to actually performing as with most drugs :biggrin:

Alcohol worked once. Pot generally works for Swim too. Various amphetamines gave Swim crazy sex drive but also speed dick, making it problematic. Benzos are fun too. What works for him depends on his mood.

GHB, when used on its own, is not known to cause any erectile dysfunction issues.

Interesting that the rats wanted more ghb, but not selective GHB receptor agonists. I would have thought that the stimulant effect was the 'more-ish' bit, but the study (and the researcher) suggests, that the in vivo effect of ghb is more to do with the GABA B receptor than the GHB receptor. But SWIM doesn't know of any GABA B agonists that have similar effects to GHB.

Another interesting thing, "even the purported GHB antagonist (NCS-382) appears to possess GABA-like activity in vivo (Carter et al., 2003)."

That's interesting, how did SWIY find that combo, compared to each one on their own? If SWIY doesn't mind SWIM asking?

Other GABA B agonists don't look all that interesting, ranging from boring to very dangerous. (Just SWIM's opinion, happy to be proven wrong) Are there are experience reports involving good old ethanol and a stimulant? (ideally MDPV)

Alcohol and MDPV appears to be a dud, but methylphenidate and alcohol (ethylphenidate) appears to be quite good. http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44896&

Who knows, but swim will fuck anything in site, and I mean ANYTHING! It's scary. It probably has to do with something with the growth hormone production or something; don't know though.

SWIM agrees with this, to the extent that they wouldn't take outside of the house without their partner.

In SWIMs opinion it is the aphrodisiac, I think someone mentioned on here that the lyrics of Tone Loc's Funky Cole Medina could be about G.

Swim finds GHB makes him quite horny and seems to stimulate the more kinky side of his mind. Coming is a bit difficult, because it makes his body a bit numb. Combined with stimulants it goes well. Swim tried it many times with stimulants (cocaine, mdma, amphetamines, mephedrone, benzylpiperazine, ephedra and modafinil. Didn't try mdpv.). It doesn't cause his blood pressure and heart rate to be elevated extra. So swim thinks it is reasonable save.

Really?, that's interesting SWIM thought that meth was supposed to be the strongest there was, uncontrollable, etc etc. Call SWIM soft but he's in no hurry to find out.

definetely an aphrodisiac!!

SWIM ended up pulling over in the middle of the day to get it on behind a dept store. i was told that the girl (she's normal) did the ebrake in the car before the dude. they also experienced something similiar and more dangerous after spilling the bottle of ghb on a bar table (DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL WITH THIS STUFF!) the couple just licked it up, shortly after the disappeared outside in below freezing weather, getting it on in an alley or something. the girl has injested too much (it's very potent!) off the table and ended up completely blackedout and nearly hypothermic before the guy could get her back home.

On the otherhand ASWIM (female) didn't know that she had never expierenced a REAL orgasm until heightening the experience with this drug...
