theres a television program airing tonight on the cbc (canadian broadcasting corporation) about crystal meth. and theres a statement on the add to grab the viewers attention which stated "its cheaper than weed, more addictive than heroin, find out what may be destroying your child"





im not a user but know many of those who are and im not entirly sure how true that statment is. what are some of your ideas?

Cheaper than weed?! I wish!!
On a serious note though, the addictive nature of this stuff kind of
depends on the person, putting it down isn't that hard for me, for
example. It has been over three months for me since I've had any, and I
don't quite feel like it is destroying me. Just my thoughts!

Noway it is cheaper than weed. For me meth is extremely addictive, and pretty much everyone I've ever known that's used it. People with less addictive personalities usually don't seem to have that much of a problem with it.

no, i think that a lot of bitchy soccer moms relate weed with cheap widespread drug use infecting every teenager , and heroin being the ultimate devil's drug, so something more addictive and easy to get would be a perfect attention grabber. come on, it's the f*cking news! what are you gonna believe? anyways, a nick-nack sack a bud is i think like 3-4 grams, 5 bucks compared to 40? g is a lot more exspensive then bud.

ya dont get me wrong i didnt beleive anything really with respect to the advertisment. I watched the program and I beleive they were intending that its cheaper than weed because of how available it is, and the fact that kids could pay 10 bucks for a bag which would ultimatly get these kids way more fucked than 10 bucks worth of weed. alot of the program dealt with the widspread problem out in BC in areas such as kamploops. it was a fairly straight forward program providing info to the common folk of society most ofwhom probably dont know about marijuana existing in their communities let alone a drug they havnt even heard of.

red i think your talkinga bout the show on the A&E called Intervention. This show takes people who are addicted to drugs, all different types, and the family makes a final effort to try to "save" the person from their addiction. They send the person to a rehab center a long ways a way for a long time and there they sober up.

unless you have a high tolerance, one or two lines should keep you up all night (if not, it aint very good). now how long does one or two joints last you?

By weight, weed is alomst always less expensive. If you take the time you will be high off of the sack into account, think about it. A dub sack of meth depending on quality might last a user one day or maybe they could spread it out through the week. Same with a dub of bud. You could get high all night or conserve it. It seems that a dub of weed would keep you high all night if the weed is good enough. A dub of ice would also keep you up all night plus a little more probably.

So SIWM guesses meth might be a bit cheaper considering how far a little bit can go. It really depends on price though. The size of a dub is going to vary from city to city, state to state, country to country. just stick with weed

Look trying to compare prices is stupid, a gram or dub of weed could be really expensive or hardly expensive at all, in comparison to Ice. I think the point of the comparison is to show that a very powerful drug is being sold at a relatively cheap price. It's so readers can compare the price, the addictive nature and the power of the drug to something they might know more about, and yes it is also to create fear and get readers more interested in a new demon drug that is ruining our youth.
I am really sick also about people talking about Meth as if it's made out of rat poison; did these people fail high school chemistry or something? The only difference between the Meth out on the street, the Meth we give troops in the army and the Meth that we use to treat narcolepsy; is what's done after the Meth is already made. Street Meth might be cut with some talcum powder or whatever and the legal prescribed Meth might have some binders in it or other adulterations that make it harder to abuse. However the Methamphetamine chemical itself is identical in both forms, if street Meth really was just a mix of different household poisons, then legal prescribed Meth would be too.
