homemade cracker (pics)

Swims first post... and its a useful one he tells ya ok, he has been clean of any goodies for 2 months because of a piss test he is about to take so the only two drugs he has been using are no2 and alchohol, here is a pic of a cracker he made today, he has never seen this design on the web before and says it can be made with less than $20 so he would like to share it with the drug community

p.s, he knows nitrous oxide isn't no2 but he doesn't want to look it up, so no2 it is!

heres his cracker...


He made it in 20 min using the valve and co2 housing that he got from a cheap pellet gun (c11)

heres what you need :

c11 (goes for around $15)
steel apoxy
philips screw driver

First take apart the gun, unscrew all the tiny screws that go around the frame, and the one under the barrel. Rip it apart and keep the barrel, the valve and the steel piece attached to the valve that is meant to hold the co2 bulb.

put a dap of steel apoxy around the barrel and slide it into the valve...
( he is sorry for the quality)

let that dry, then unscrew the back of the valve, take out the spring and then put the valve back together. Now there is one more part you need to take out, its a little brass ring thats located on the seal that the co2 bulb is pushed up against, you can unscrew it, the necks of the no2 bulbs are too fat and dont fit in this ring so it has so come out.

and all thats left to shorten the barrel (optional), attach a bolt to the end of the barrel so you have something to hold the ballon over... and shorted the gap between the screw and no2 bulb. He says the thing was made for a longer co2 bulb so what you can do is take out the steel counterweight thats inside the gun and glue it upwards, right onto the screw at the bottom... its a perfect fit.


All you have to do is put the balloon over the ball of hardened apoxy and start turning the screw at the bottom of the cracker, he filled up his first baloon today and was thrilled!! so thrilled that he did it again.. and again... until he had finished off the 10 pack its such a big improvement over the freakin whipped cream cans!

would it not be safer and easyer for swiy to buy a proper whip cream dispenser, one that looks like could become dangers. also if swim was stop with that gun could get shot, thinking it was real. just a thought seeing as despensers r not exspensive realy and if you can get cartiges of n2o then a dispenser is not har to get eather.

I thought that design looked familiar. SWIM and his friend had a few chargers one fine day and no way to use them, so in an act of desperation they McGuyvered the same instrument form a co2 gun. Though a last ditch effort at the time, the tool exceeded their expectations. One year later and SWIM still uses the same device.

Since then SWIM has been searched by the cops with the device on hand during several unfortunate occasions, all of which the authorities just looked over it without a second glance. Sure some maintenance glue needs to be applied here and there, but it is a solid tool.

Although ingenuity and creativity are appreciated and respected, nothing beats a standard whipped cream making unit.

They can be had for around $20 and up.

Have you actually read the thread and looked at the pictures? He's just used the mechanism from the gun, the actual casing is discarded.

Don't agree with this. A cream dispenser is great if you are at home, but it is huge and heavy, so not remotely suitable for carrying around; for example, to a festival or concert.

Were a whip cream unit cannot be found this is ingenuity and a work-around. Any co2 gun would work actually, or anything else that had a co2 popper thing on it, like a paintball gun. Other threads feature how to make one from a nail, but there are other things that need to open those co2's, and can definitely be used.

O btw, paintball guns hold co2 tanks from around 9oz all the way to 32 oz i believe, actually i have a 20oz for sure though, and you can actually get n20 tanks for a paintball gun, or convert any co2 gun to a n20 that you already have. Filling a 20oz tank up cost similiar to a 5 pack of co2s, probably less.

Is that medical or food grade nitrous oxide Swipurplehaze in the paintball thing? Curious.

And how could anyone not be able to get a whipped cream thing? They are common and cheap. Internet, grocery stores, headshops, porn stores, etc.

Also on the convenience thing, yes, they can be hard to try to bring into a concert or similar events, but do not all crackers make lots of noise?

swim doesn't hear much when he fills up a baloon... just a faint hiss from the gas flowing through the valve stem

and when you say "whipped cream thing" you mean dispenser, correct? Swim has searched high and low all over town and the only one he could find was an expensive aluminum one for $98... swim has an even harder time finding the n20 bulbs but he just ordered a case of 100 for $50... not too shabby

an industial air blow gun would work also, and those are usually around 5-8 bucks. and are very small. used normaly for little CO2 canisters.

Thanks for posting that. Its crazy how they do that shit, like adding acetimenophen (sp) to lortab hydrocodone etc, dont abuse it or will kill you. What about the people who don't know that it contains aspirin and take it and die, what about the people who don't know the nos has that shit it in and dies its crazy. swims new to nitrous but the nitrous cartriges ive seen in the pics look alot like paintball gun co2 countainers. couldnt one just puch down on the valve w/ a flat tip scwer(spel) driver and breath in . im prolly wrong ive just been using whipp cream but u only get one high per can.

No. Two main reasons

1) It comes out at very high pressure. Most will be lost
2) It is very cold when it comes out and you run the risk of cold burns.

Just get a cracker or dispenser.

looks like a lot of work, and certainly not the cleanest/most efficient way of purging the cartridges.... why doesn't swiy buy a cracker on ebay ? some person makes solid alum/brass cracker that look great

SWIM bought a cracker on ebay for $XXXX and it worked wonders... SWIM knows how hard it is to wait though. However, SWIM will state that lexmark's pellet gun break down is quite genius in that MacGuyver way.

There is a source online selling cream dispensers for $25 right now 1/2 pint - pint.... SWIM knows of other places online to get brass crackers for $10...

To try to limit the noise Swim dispenses the whipped cream dispenser into his mouth then goes into a balloon is not soundless but is a little more quite as swim can limit the amount of noise better.

Dispensing into ones mouth first can lead to fairly bad frostbite, maybe to even freezing in the lungs....

I said from the whipped cream dispenser. Sorry for the misunderstanding Swim has never used a cracker although interested in making one.

when i'd read Whipped Cream Dispenser i'd assumed you'd meant the little whipped cream charger... Why bother with a balloon at all in that situation?

Somewhere around this forum was a post where they guy modified a gov't surplus gas mask as a sulpher dioxide filter. Claims it didn't pull the NOS out. Considering the way NOS takes place of O2 in the blood, this seems reasonable. Of course Wiki points out, that paintball guns don't use the stuff, but there's still other places to find tainted N2O around.

If you're going to build your own cracker, why not add a gas mask filter, it;ll keep you safe from any possible contamination.
