Dose - Benefits of Low-Dose Mushroom Use?

Hi

swim tried recently a few times taking about 0.20g of dried cubensis (mexicans) before going to sleep and he slept well and the next day or two he was also in a (little bit more than normal) good mood.

now he is wondering if there are any positive/negative effects or experiences with taking shrooms before sleeping

and also if there are any benefits of low dose consumption of shrooms (for example lets say once a week 0,3g or so), either at day or nighttime

Swim would say small doses can have a positive effect on mood and such.

If you feel it works for you, then chances are it does.

Based on my limited knowledge of how shrooms work, they might possibly interfere with sleep. Low doses, not as likely sounding.

well yeah SWIM tries to be careful since a too high dosage (probably already 0,5g of dried mexicans) makes him euphoric and thinkin -> he wouldn be able to sleep.. but otherwise, the next day he felt quite relaxed and refreshed..

Swim finds extremely low doses of certain things(MDMA.LSD) have excellent antidepressant properties. Realistically though it will only be a matter of time before tolerance builds up and these properties will go away..

Swim has tried using very small amounts of lsd(1/20th) of a hit.. It was a very nice day definitley had antidepressant properties.

Swims friend has tried usually extremely small amounts of MDMA to do the same.. He has never used mdma in any other way then this and to this day swears the drug is a miracle drug..

Swim believes mushrooms would be very similar to lsd in small quantities if not better for a lifting of ones mood. But would not recommended trying this for extended periods of time.

Swims experience was taking to during the morning. But would imagine a slighty smaller dose at night would be very helpful.

Indeed there have been studies that suggest psilocybin mushrooms have posotive effects in patients with "OCD" and in recreational users reports of long lasting benifits inc: increased feeling of general well-being and lower stress levels.. and i'm sure i read it had benefits in helping long term opiate addicts ..or is that just wishfull thinking.

LSD25 was sold as an experimental anti-depressant under the trade-name Delysid (D-Lye-Sid) back yonder in 20mcg purple tablets. Sandoz - but of course. In that psilocybin/psilocin operates on the same levels as LSD25, it would likely show efficacy for such purpose. But the studies ended before any conclusions were chisled in granite. It's a brave, new world. Be cautious and don't leap to conclusions. There could be a lion in the woods.

How has the dreaming been? Swim would assume small amounts of psilocybin
would have a very positive effect on lucid dreaming.

yeah.. being cautious is important, thats why SWIM would like to hear different opinions and experiences,
however, lucid dreaming or even the quality of dreaming didnt change, in fact he cant remember too much of the dreams of the last 3 times doing that (did it 4 times up to now in a 4 weeks period) but also hes not someone who remembers much of dreams in the first place
