MDMA and hydration at concerts

SWIM is planning to drop an E or two for a concert in the near future. However, he is wary about dehydration. In his experience, it's impossible to get bottled water into concerts. SWIM always feels dehydrated after concerts anyway, and imagines this dehydration will be even greater (and more dangerous) when on MDMA. He realizes that it would be possible to go back to the bar, or to the toilets, to get some water, but he isn't too keen on the idea of missing any of the show, or losing his place in the crowd. What do people reccommend? If SWIM keeps well-hydrated throughout the day, and has plenty to drink before entering the venue, do people think he'll be able to safely last the show?

Re: MDMA and hydration at concerts

As long as you don't overexert yourself.

From my understanding, the danger from lack of hydration and MDMA is people overheating and not knowing it from being under the influence of MDMA. Being very active + Low fluids = overheating.

Don't drink ridiculous amounts either. Over hydration is not the best. People have done that one too.

Remember, the ultimate importance here is health/safety, not missing parts of a show or having a place in the crowd. I'm sure you'd prefer to be alive and miss part of the show as opposed to overheating hardcore, passing out, and missing the entire thing, if not the rest of your life.

Re: MDMA and hydration at concerts

Yeah of course safety comes first, but SWIM doesn't want to be going to the bathroom to get a drink every twenty minutes out of sheer paranoia. If, in order to be safe on MDMA, SWIM'd have to miss a significant amount of the show, and/or not exert SWIMself too much in dancing etc, then SWIM'd probably ultimately get more enjoyment from going sober. What do people think?

Swim wouldn't take mdma at a concert.. he would prefer a rave, club or house, where everyone is gonna be on mdma, and he would have water around.

Since it's at a concert, it's likely not to last as long as the typical rave would. It seems likely that SWIY will be fine.

Re: MDMA and hydration at concerts

Another querie: would people reccomend that SWIM takes his pills just before entering, or takes them in with him and takes them in there. On the one hand, the bouncers/stewards might notice massive pupils and not let SWIM in. On the other hand, there's a chance (albeit very remote) that they would search him and find his pills.

Re: MDMA and hydration at concerts

Swim would take them inside, so he when he enters he would be sober to look at the place well, and see where bathrooms are, emergency exits, wardrobes, etc. to know where he will be standing. once he is rolling, he hates searching.
Once at a rave Swim though the exit was where the wardrobe was... :S
Tell Swiy to hide well the pills, anyway, they wont be searching for that at a concert, they probably will be searching for weapons or sharp objects.
