L-pac to l-ephedrine operating conditions
let`s suposse we already have L-PAC, L-phenylacetylcarbinol or R-phenylacetylcarbinol is the same, then all talking about doing a reductive amination to form L-ephedrine but in my experience the operating conditions made the result DL-ephedrine or L-ephedrine.
and D isn`t good at all, the reductive amination of L-PAC with Al/HG is a chemical synthesis with methylamine.actually 40% aq. solution is present.
and with PtO2 is doing with a reactor, i want to discuss the chemical syntesis with AL/HG first.
someone with experience or some idea how to get only the L-isomer with a high yield.
someone can help here, and for the p2p begginers process from ethyl phenylacetate to D-meth. with success.
For example:
ratio of methylamine:LPAC
solution of reaction in what: ethanol, methanol, ether, Dh20.
make a oxime first with methylamine or all at once with al/hg.
what quantity of ratio by weight of catalyst AL/HG.
Temperature Hot or Cold
Let the exothermic reaction goes alone or cooling by periods.
