Any recommendations for good neurology/neuroscience books.
I have a basic, maybe slightly above average understanding about how the brain works. Does anyone know of any good books I can read from to learn more about how the mind and nervous systems function?
Any suggestions of books that are specifically about how drugs work on the human mind/body would also be appreciated. I have a feeling this topic might not get many replies, but don't ask don't get. :P |

"Drugs: Medical, Psychological and Social Facts" By Peter Laurie, Published by Penguin, 1971. It's quite old, but its completely unbiased and it has a great section on LSD...

You should pick up Neurophilosophy by Patricia Churchland. It's about half neurology/neuroscience and half the philosophy behind those sciences. It's a really excellent, really well written and easy understand introduction to a really complicated field.
