Addiction - swim got of h useing k!

swim has been a poly drug user since about 13 at the age of 20 started on herion, have wasted a number of years doing it and trying to get off on methadone but just started useing both of them. swim still whent out with friends maybe upto 8 times a yr to go clubbing and take recreational drugs like e and k and coke ect.... but could not go out every weekend like befor due to the money spent on herion and feeling like crap some 8 weeks ago they when to stay with an old friend who no longer will tollirate useing h around them they understand about the methadone as it is medical swim saw it as a chance to get stable on the methadone and possibly cut back to.

while away they whent and bought 50 grams of k somthing there friend does take aswell as 2 grams of mdma powder, 50 drops of lsd. and 3 grams of coke for the first 2 nights and three days they went clubbing having a great time and started taking there methadone properly. after wekend they had 1/2 a gram of mdma, 1/2 g coke,10 drops lsd, 35 g k, so they went to the beach and fun fair which was great and took rest of recreational drugs that day.

over rest of time they stayed in friends house totaly wasted on k unless had to pop out to shops or somthing. then over 10 days they had not used herion even though they could of snuk of to use. and they did feel like it. every day they took there methadone. and cut back. they spent last cupple of days off of drugs all togther. felt a bit rough but nothing to bad. they returned home and had come down from 45 mls of methdone to just 15mls, and know they have been clean for last 8 weeks' they said it has been hard to resist since which is same with any detox program but are no set on giving up h for good the time on k ofuasly helped as they where to waisted and preocupied to do herion, also they know from the past k and herion don't mix well at all. swim know k can be offerd as a detox for herion and alcohol in some countrys but wish more would look at it and do it in a clinical seting as this has been the only way in 8 yrs swim has gotten clean. along with once befor when tryed with k but gave up after a week. swim knows 50 grams of k is not good for any one but thats why they would like it looked into as a way of treating people plus swim could of probably managed fine with less but was on a blow out to. does anyone have offical info on useing k as a treatment?

Excellent..I do wish the medical community would look at ketamine more when it comes to detox. For some people, straight buprenorphine and Methodone can be pure evil...

thats it swim has constently been in same circles as when going to doctors or geting perscription they bump into other users who then put ideas in the mind about useing when swim is week of mind, plus a deciding factor was swim was refused a lock down detox which would of seen them clean in two weeks and on naltraxone and comunity rehab there after for 4 months, for caring on in the comunity aparently doctor says chances are the same for getting and staying clean though swim thinks it is more to do with money after all if they put people in detox and spend money on that the doctors and pharmasist do not get payed for seeing and perscribing to swiy. finaly made swim do somthing but at mo is now back home round same people as befor still clean but tempted, and only on 15 mls of methdone a day. only not useing because gear in area at mo is crap, acourding to other user's. swim is keeping fingers crossed this work's out. though is starting to feel it's doubtfull. this will last much longer. though k can be just as bad to swim was a heavy addicted user of that in past which did not do alot for there phsycal health beeing an anisthetic. hears to the
