Side effects - cotton fever for second night in a row, should i seek medical advice?

I have been using IV heroin for almost 6 years and have never had cotton fever until last night, and it was quite possibly the worst Ive felt outside of being dopesick for a long time. I wasn't sure what exactly it was but after researching on the internet, the symptoms were unmistakeable, a shaking chill and shivers so bad I felt like a fish flopping around, displaced from water, the worst headache I have ever experienced and Ive had migraines, indigestion which I tend to get anyway especially when I take Ibuprofin which I had no other choice, I passed out and woke up drenched in sweat, which I guess is a positive thing b/c my fever most likely regressed. I woke up late in the night and threw up 3 or 4 times, so I took a trazadone and went to bed, woke up and felt fine. Oh and before all of this happened I used old, very old cottons. Well today I did two bags and then used some cottons from my boyfriend that were from today, which Ive done a hundred times before, anyway the same thing happened, and as I'm writing this I expected the fever and shivers to get worse but they have somewhat plateoued thank god. None the less it is still very irritating, especially considering tomorrow I am going to rehab very early in the morning and my mom is taking me, I have no money, so the two bags I did at around 8 were probably my last before checking into detox, so not only did they not really get me all that high, this has reversed what little opiate fulfillment I was enjoying and blasted me with dopesickness like symptoms. So after waking up and feeling fine, and now experiencing this, should I be worried, because most of the sites said the bacterial infection with the symptoms would last just 12-24 hours, should I be worried?
