Drug info - First Time Help?

Hey guys... Swim bought a gram of 5x Salvia today, and is planning to use it with two friends. Swim and her friends have never tried Salvia before, but have done other stuff. Swim is the least experienced, but has done some psychadelics and isn't worried about Salvia - she's comfortable with the idea of a very intense trip. Each person will have at least one sitter, depending on whether they want two to do it and one to watch, or one at a time. It'll be in a comfortable, indoor setting.

However, swim isn't too sure on the best way of getting the Salvia (ground), into her body, whether it's pipe, or bong. Also, how much would each person have? Will a gram split three ways? Swim would like as much info as possible before they do it, which is arranged for saturday. Finally, is it safe to take MDMA/Speed/Cannabis after the effects of Salvia have worn off?

SWIY should probably search around a little more since a lot of swiy's questions have been answered several times.

The part about feeling comfortable with an intense trip swim finds pretty funny. SWIM was like that....in fact he was bored of most drugs because they didn't give him intense trips. The thing unique about salvia is that the trip can be very intense...but when swiy even gets the capability of recognizing a strong trip...swiy doesn't even know swiy's tripping on something. Salvia completely takes control out of the picture, so if swiy gets an intense trip, don't count on swiy's self to comfort swiy's self....definitely count on the sitters.....everything changes when actually in the trip. But this shouldn't be a huge problem with 5X.

A gram three ways...assuming no one is "hardhead"...will probably work out perfectly. It probably won't give swiy an intense trip (maybe one of swiys will...it's possible to be that sensitive), but it will definitely give swiy a taste of salvia (which actually still can't be compared to a powerful salvia trip because it's so different when swiy has no control over anything....or the ability to even know what control is).

The other drugs should be safe to take after salvia....based on the fact that there are no reports of these combinations being dangerous..at least that swim has heard of (especially a mix of salvia's afterglow and those drugs).

Pipe is best....bong if swiy can't handle the hot smoke (and holding it in for at least 30 seconds per hit).

But please search for a lot of these answers next time. These are all VERY basic questions. And if swiy isn't the kind of person that researches powerful drugs like these before taking them, then sorry to say....swiy isn'the kind of person who should be abusing salvia...beacuse these kinds of people are the reason it's illegal in parts of the US and around the world.

Swim has done a lot of research, she just wanted to have things confirmed, and to also have it all together in one thread.
Swims thinks you have misunderstood her. She didn't say that she is comfortable in an intense trip, she said she's comfortable with the idea of one. Swim has read many experiences on this forum, and other sites, including Erowid, and has questioned herself whether this is a drug she wants to try, and is in the right mental state to try it. She knows that she is going to rely on her sitter(s). All she meant is that she's not rushing into this without considering the potential effects.

The other two people are a lot more experienced than swim, and use drugs on a daily basis, whilst swim only uses them on certain occasions. She likes to keep them for best! So hopefully this will be a factor in her having a stronger trip.

Swim only plans on using MDMA, and this would be after the afterglow etc. She's happy to wait. The other two are likely to take theirs straight after.

Swim did research before asking these questions. As she said before, she just want's to make sure she has all of her facts right, having seen some differences in information here and there. Swim certainly doesn't intend to abuse Salvia. Surely if she was, she would have already taken it without preparation? Even if the questions are stupid to someone who knows the information, swim wants to be prepared as much as she can, and is therefore willing to ask them. So please don't accuse swim of not researching, because she has. She just likes to be sure.

SWIM's just working with swiy's words.....swiy should demonstrate this research....for example.."SWIM plans to take this much amongst this many people...does this seem correct?" sounds much better than "swim's got all this salvia, how much should I use?"

Obviously one of those questions comes off more as a stoner looking for a legal high rather than a responsible user (not that swim got that impression from swiy).

And swim was also just pointing out that being comfortable with an intense trip won't really help in preparation....swiy won't really know until actually tripping....that's all swim was saying...because this aspect is very unique to salvia compared to almost every other drug out there.

And sorry if swim's tone is a little negative....swim usually deals with way too many dumb questions regarding salvia and every once in a while his bias leaks in. So swim apologizes.

Fair enough, swim will make sure she portrays her meanings better next time. =) Swims definately not looking for just a quick high, it's something she's going to treat with respect.

Swim knows that being comfortable with an intense high won't help, she is struggling to get her meaning across. It's more that she isn't jumping into it without being aware of what could happen. Though, of course, she won't completely know until she is tripping, as swiy says.

It's okay, swim apologises for her dumb questions, she just likes to be really, really sure before trying anything for the first time. =)

nothing bad physically is going to happen. I'm about 80% sure. Just relax, and go with the flow. and for now on....UTFSE!!! these questions have been answered a houndred times, just by me. just by going into the salvia section and reading the first 5 relevant threads should be plenty. No need to repeat.

It helps, but is not critical.

Swim has used Salvia with normal flame sources before just fine.

swim has consumed salvia many times and it is FAR better when smoked using a butane lighter!!!

Cheers guys for the replies... Swim hopes that her friends have a butane lighter, because apparently the law on selling them has changed in the UK, so she was unable to buy one. ¬¬ She imagines the others will have one lying about, as she just found out today that one has already done salvia.

swim was wondering if smoking salvia is comparable to smoking pot? not the high, the actual inhalation of smoke. swim has no problem holding in pot or dust smoke for long periods of time and swim was wondering if salvia was harsher to take in. thanks.

Dr. Phil has about the same physical reaction to smoking salvia as he does smoking tobacco. He has found though with rapidly successive hit one will eventually reach a point where the body has had enough and will make you expel whatever is left in your lungs. If this happens, put your bong and lighter down, sit back, relax, and hold on....

SWIM tells me that salvia smoke is much hotter than the smoke produced by combusted cannabis. Water pipes are preferred by many for this reason.
