How does your lab monkey prefer his G?

Given that many users in this forum state that their lab monkey has a preference for either NaGHB or Gamma-Butyrolactone (GBL), it would be interesting to gauge which is more prevalent and why.

Please post your lab monkey's preference and, just as importantly, tell us why the little critter likes his G that way.

In the interests of keeping this thread purely about the choice of one over the other, do not give further information about why he is taking G in the first place as that will be covered in another thread shortly.

Re: How does your lab monkey prefer his G?

I notice a number of votes registering but no posts as yet as to why that particular choice.

Please help us build a picture of what leads people's monkeys to opt for their preference, it may bring up some interesting viewpoints.

My monkey prefers NaGHB, but if he doesnt have the time to make a batch, he'll make do with GBL, untill an opportunity arrises.

Re: How does your lab monkey prefer his G?

My monkey prefers NaGHB, but occasionally he does take GBL, when he takes GBL he adds 3ml to about 200ml of OJ and then adds bicarb to bring the ph level up, tastes like shit but it's a lot safer!

Re: How does your lab monkey prefer his G?

where swims from,1,4-Butanediol seems to be very prevalent and more cost effective than GBL,and GHB in all its forms seems very, very difficult to aquire...and given the cost of GBL,converting to GHB doesnt really seem very practical..

saline29 is a decent SWIMmer.
Re: How does your lab monkey prefer his G?

It is a toss up between 1, 4 butanediol and GBL... GHB (sodium) is too weak and causes too much sodium build up with water retention after a while. That monkey likes to actually switch off. Doing GBL, when he wants to clean his body from 1, 4. He does 1, 4 when he wants to get a long fun high, mellow, with just a little amount. When he is worried about getting hooked on GBL, he tried sodium GHB. Potassium GHB was debated on whether or not it would become his healthier favorite, but he has learned that it doesn't work as well as any of the others. It's a toss up; they all do the same thing, the only thing that changes the feeling is how much food, hydration, mood, etc., the monkey has in him when he takes either one.

But to answer your question, the monkey is quite a health freak actually, and he wont use any other substance; the only reason he got to using g, is cause some gorilla informed him over the net, that it was somehow healthy and beneficial, like the fountain of youth or something (HGH). Now, the lab monkey isn't too sure after taking it for a while. He likes the feeling of 1, 4 the best, although the toxic build up is noticeable after weeks of using it.

Re: How does your lab monkey prefer his G?

Actually that statement can only be regarded as correct on the first count - it does, according to reports, have an unpleasant taste. The idea of it being much worse for your health is actually something that hasn't been fully established.

This report
uncovered some interesting findings in this regard.

That is why I always state that, as there are no long term human studies regarding reguar GBL ingestion, we cannot assume that it is the same as for GHB although, as the report discovered, there were some suprising observations in rat models.

Re: How does your lab monkey prefer his G?

SWIM can't really say. He likes GBL because it hits way harder but the taste isa major downfall. SWIM doesn't think he has gotten his dosage down with GHB yet. He likes the crystal form because he can just swallow the shards like a pill or let it dissolve on his tongue. The taste is salty, but not too bad. H hasn't taken more than 3g at once but that dose is not as strong as he expected. Maybe he needs 4-5 at a time. When he does GBL, he takes 2-2.5ml at a time and that is a pretty good dose.

His monkey has never tried 1,4 and doesn't know too much about it. From what he has read though, it seems less superior. There is a time for ghb, and a time for gbl.
