Drug info - Did swim get the right dose?

Swim went to the doctor to get Adderall for actual documented low-grade ADD. The doctor, after reading a letter from a psychologist, complied and prescribed regular Adderall 7.5 mg. The low dose was fine as swim is using it for legitimate purposes. The handwritten prescription said "Adderall 30# 3T". Swim went to CVS to get it filled and they gave swim something marked "amphetamine salts, substituted for adderall" 30 pills for 30 days.

Swim is concerned that maybe swim got underdosed since this only gives 4 hours of effects per day. Did the pharmacy screw swim on the prescription, or did the doctor underprescribe? Swim is confused what's going on here.

7.5mg should be instant release--certainly not an extended release with such a low dose. Four hours is about right.
Adderall is amphetamine salts, so it must be some generic version. If anything, it means swiy is saving a bit of money.

the amphetamine salts means that there are 4 types of amphetamine salts in the pill....this is a generic version of adderall

Swim thinks SWiy should be honest with Swiy's doctor that 7.5 mg is not enough. Swim has what is probably minor ADD and takes IR. Swim is 138lbs and is a drug lightweight and he gets a 15mg dose which still sometimes doesn't seem like enough. Also if Swiy is looking for more then 4 hrs of effect, Swiy needs to switch to XR. Swim's advice is be honest with your doctor about the shortcomings of Swiy's dosage without asking for XR or other drugs by name.
