Purity - Yield of a Cold Water Extraction

Ok, so swim normally does a CWE on 20 500/30/8 pills and was wondering about the yield.Have there been any analysis done to verify the yield?
If not, would it be realistic to say that the yield is 80%?
Estimations are welcome.

Swim thought he read 60% on first pass..
up to 80% on second pass..
and up to 90% on third pass..
dont know for sure but i'll try to confirm...
The cloroform extraction can yield in exess of 90%

Thanx, but swim is not completely sure what you mean by "pass".Do you mean the first extraction of the white sludge and then put it back in the cup and add more water?

Perhaps bad yields account for why Swim's hydrocodone dosage has more than doubled even though Swim uses less than once every 2-3 weeks. Swim had been using different coffee filters (brown ones) and tap water. Swim felt like his codeine/hydrocodone after CWE's was underwhelming. Swim has been using less and less water too...

Perhaps Swim will CWE his next hydrocodone dosage and dry it and weight it on his scale for info here.

Kinda. say swim was doing extraction on 60 pills he will use 150ml for initial wash done through 2 filters =1st pass..
He then puts sludge from both filters into a dish/bowl rinses filters with a few mls of water(has had 30mls chilling in freezer)then ads remaining water to dish quick mix back into freezer for 10-15mins then filters again. = 2nd pass...
I guess you only need to do a third wash when doing say 100 + tabs .
Swim uses 3ml total per pill,2.5ml initial wash.0.5ml for rinse.
There seems to be a way of thinking that using less water will give a greater yield this is not true.Some water will always be lost in the filtering, this loss will be a percentage of the initial liquid used,this will also be a percentage of your final yield.So the more liquid used the smaller the loss will be.
I ve been reading some info on line and it claims a 95% yield was got on 20 tabs it even claimed this was confirmed by analasis..!(sounds doubtfull)

The yield depends on the care taken while performing the extraction.
A "pass" is the term for filtering all liquid through a filter once. Many people choose to re-filter the filtered mixture in order to potentially remove more harmfuls. A second or third pass may be beneficial, although not necessary if the filtration is done properly. Re-washing, as described above, is a good way of getting the most out of the "sludge".

swim did first CWE today on 10 paramol pills. after first pass through cloth, water was cloudy but a lot of sludge was in cloth, swim filtered solution another 4 times [2 x cloth, 2x coffee filter] but solution is still cloudy, swim is confident that she removed most of apap but hopes she didn`t waste too much DHC by too much filtering swim wonders if she should have done second wash with sludge?
swim has tasted solution, it`s vile, swim will find out tomorrow how successful first attempt has been when she consumes it, hopefully without puking

swiy put liquid back in freezer for 15-20mins if there is still a lot of para left in, it will congeal again,but dont let it freeze 3-4 degs..
also filters can sometimes murky the water..

swim did as swiy advised and found only slight trace in bottom of glass, not worth re-filtering. swim thinks that cloth filter may be to blame for cloudiness, also tap water around here is not exactly clear [lot of limescale]. next time swim will try bottled water.

fast forward to saturday, swim drank solution on a very empty stomach at 2pm [taste not so bad], after 15 mins swim didn`t feel much so dropped 2 paramol pills, 10 mins later still nothing so swim dropped another 2 pills, swim feels nice but has better results from pills alone. however due to dangers swim will continue with CWE but next time will use 20 pills.
swim wonders if reason for poor result is tolerance to codeine, not enough pills used [10 CWE] or maybe her first attempt at CWE was not good and swim lost too much codeine during process? swim hopes for better next time.

Well,that was probably because:
1-you didn't use enough pills
2-As you may already know, redosing with codeine is useless, since codeine itself inhibits it's own convertion into morphine.
Next time, try extracting from 20 pills and drinking it all at once, this should give you much better results.
