Thanks to Ric Doblin of MAPS. There is a one day conference in London this
weekend about this very topic including steriods, mind altering chemicals
etc.

It's true that we all agree, drugs should be made legal or at least decriminalized. In order for this to happen,we (all of us) have to (really have to) do something. Instead of just looking athownice it could never be, we all need to actuallydo things in each of our lives tomake society aware ofdrugs as we are. Though some are virtually pointless, not all drugs are even bad at all. We all know that many of the worlds revelatory ideas/inventions sprang from drug use, and that drugs have been connecting us with life in such anunimaginable way since the firstof humankindever smoked weed, to me and you eating lsd. If we can make these drugs, it should be our right touse them. Especially towards the younger people, our generation is goingto end up being the old people that are sitting up in offices deciding what we canand can'tdo. It's not possible for one person to overthrow the government, but if we all just make friends with those around us and enlighten and educate, what we seeinour drugs' future can be real.It starts with the way we interact. All ofourproblems in lifedo.

Well, we're inching toward legalization/decrim. The only drug that
really has a chance of legalization in our lifetime is marijuana. But
the popular sentiment toward drugs seems to be shifting, in my opinion
anyway. I'm reading much more tolerance and general indifference than
there used to be.

Thank god for Erowid. It's basically our main defense against government propoganda.
