Experiences - Bad Trip. (Not LSD as substance was smoked)

My pet zebra recently had a bad trip due to something, i believe it was something close to or was LSD, zebz as i call him was smoking some mj with some people he knew, and started tripping all over the place claimed to have a religious experience, felt his heart and said he could feel it beating and feel its texture, color became emotions such as red lights, there was extreme parania attached to the whole experiance thinking he was in a murder plot and wut not. The only reason i think it was not LSD is because of the fact that it was smoked and from what i hear that is not possible and it would just break down in the high tempature... unless the crazy friend somehow managed to dip w/e they smoked out of into some LSD somehow lol. any help as to what it might have been would be appreciated.

sounds like PCP. Definitely not LSD. Re-post in the Research Chemicals forum if you want some better guesses.

Well drawn-out plots of alternative realities are more the nature attributable to dextromethorphan (DXM) than to PCP, as PCP tends to make one too fucked up to think that much. But the smoking part is wrong. Are you sure the Zebra didn't swallow something?

What was the duration of the Zebra's experience? What did the substance it smoked look like?

not to sure how long zebra was tripping i know zebra said he took a nap and when he awoke he felt fine. he said what he thought he was smoking was just weed. no idea if he swallowed anything ill ask in a couple days when i see him. he said remembers that they sat down the pass the umm bowl or w/e they passed that day around and he can't remember the other people taking there hits at all. ill know more about it when he comes over this weekend. only thing that got me thinking about it was someones post about LSD helping alcoholics. at the time zebz was quite the drinker and since has quit recently picked it back up lightly but still made a big improvement. also he was an atheist and since the incident he became more into religion and pretty anti-drug.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record:

No one can tell your stripy equine (are zebras equine, or a different species entirely?) what caused their trip. The only way to tell would be to test said substance.

The only thing I can say for certain is that if it was smoked, it wasn't LSD

unfortunately there is no way to test it as this happened a couple months ago and zeby has stopped talking to this person. i remembered from the story he told me that the person was acting as if he was obsessed with ring pops, i am not entirely sure if zeby had a ring pop while he was there or not. but do you guys think there is no way the front of a pipe can be dipped in acid or w/e and somehow when one puts there mouth to it they would get the effects? pretty sure this is not the case here but i thought it was for a while and have been wondering lol. anyways thanks for the help so far =) zeby is coming over to my house tommorow so i can ask a few questions about anything else they might have ingested that day.

It would not be acid. Sounds like he said zebra was quite likely smoking some strong weed, but the animal will probably never know for sure.

Zebras are equine. They are odd-toed ungulates of the Equidae family!

theoretically you could dose a pipe by puttling liquid on the tip, but i'd say once the excess dripped off, assuming the person had the strongest stuff imaginable in one drop, you might get 50 micrograms of LSD left-over as residue on the tip. Pass that around two or three people, however, and you're gonna get no reaction whatsoever.

Not to mention that the person smoking would have to lick their lips or get the LSD into their mouth somehow so that it can go into the blood vessels. LSD isn't very readily-absorbant into the skin, despite popular belief.

So the answer is no. The pipe isn't the culprit.

after talking to zeby today he told me no he did not ingest anything. but says the whole hallucinating was not very long maybe 15-20 minutes, he was very paranoid after those 15 minutes though and only realized when i asked that they were only hallucinating for a short period of time. when i say hallucinating i mean the mixing of emotions and colors among the actual hallucinations there were many i did not mention before. i know i might seem like a broken record still trying to find answers after it was said there was no real way to know without testing the substance, but would it be possible it could have just been salvia mixed in, it sorta seems too fit to me =/

Have SWIM get some Salvia. Pack a bowl with pot - and some Salvia. Don't tell the Zebra. And have SWIM see if his friend goes psychotic. If yes - as he's being hauled away to the Nuthouse - SWIM has the answer!

Failing that, there are lots of other chemicals and plants one could dose the Zebra with. Never give up trying - SWIM will get him committed yet! Or get the crap kicked out of him...
