So SWIMs friend comes back from a music festival, he's talking about his trip and sharing some stories. But SWIM keep hearing these words he talking about. He says he met some people who had wings...SWIM is like...say what? Chicken wings? hot wings!?! Well he went on to explain how LSD familys rank their..distributors SWIM is guessing.... So SWIM finally gets what these wings are made of, they are just some medal pin they attach the their jacket or hat or whatever, never heard of this before at all. So is this just some kids trying to play the psychonaut peddling game or something? Or is this a actual kinda underground ranking system? The young person SWIM was talking to also kept calling LSD "doses", he asked if SWIM had seen any doses around, SWIM was like "doses of what?" He also mentioned double dipped blotter which SWIM knows is a selling lure.

if swey reads up on an example of this kind of slang on tim leary with his descriptions of different experiences, swey will understand the slang from other peoples experiences is just their own way of describing their experience. people pick up on this & form their own ways of expressing themselves.

everyones different & has different experiences, yet you do have people within a group claiming to understand this aparrent known language of the experienced swimmers. swey should go with what swey can relate to.

There are a bunch of families that are known to make LSD and travel in packs doing it; beyond that I don't know how true your friend's story is. Double dipping is definitely a myth, but "doses" is a common term for LSD.

I doubt anyone but people who are travelling with bands or something of that nature would know to look for these "wings," and it seems to me that if they were that immersed in the culture they wouldn't need wings to tell them who is selling the good stuff.

But it does sound plausible.

swib has never heard of "wings" but if had to guess would think it was who sold the lsd. since this person sold the trip to swim's friend to "fly" or be high on lsd.

"doses" is a common term for a "dose" of lsd, one hit

double dipping is a myth there would be no need to dip twice, one would just need to put more lsd in the solution when making the first and only dip. Why waste time.

Yea SWIM was thinking its just probably very lower level distributors using these "wings" like a person would wear a t-shirt with a "Uncle Sid" on the front or something similar, except not so obvious. SWIM figured there were not many tightly knit LSD families left around the states to be that well known by this youngster SWIM talked to. But yea could be a total line of BS.

Haven't heard of wings as such ... and not in relation to acid ... but SWIM has heard the expression 'Chicken pickin' referring to looking for tiny fragments of crack-cocaine on the carpet at the end of the night, also known as 'chicken scratch' or 'ghost-busting' ...

SWIM just did a search and apparently the term 'wings' can also refer to heroin/cocaine ... go figure.

But back to the topic, SWIMs friend said some had smaller wings, and some had big ones...bigger being higher in rank...guess you learn something everyday. The festival was Grateful Fest, even SWIM has heard of the massive amounts of Uncle Sid and Molly there.
