Drug info - Dilaudid/Drug Test

After an iv injection of hydromorphone...does anyone know the amount of time that it would take to start excreting within the urine?

I couldn't say, all i can think of it will probably be similar to the time morphine can be detected in urine which is about 3 day minimum. Now this is a pure guess so don't neg rep me for saying this, but on the safe side i'd give it 5 days.

I had a quick look for hydromorphone metabolites and couldn't find much, so if anyone else can find what they are then that could give a better indication of how long is needed for the drug to be undetectable in urine.

Swim would confirm the above 1-3 days.if swiy is asking how long will it take to get in to is urine it can be anything from 3-12 hrs..

When SWIm had urine tests it has showed up after 2 days, did one after 4 days and it was clean, hope dis helps..

opiates are excreted via urine after the 12-24 hr half life,,, then after that time you start cutting your amount by half every 12 hours......so if you take 10mg morph after 12-24 hrs it becomes 5mg then 2.5 then 1.75 ect that all depends on metabolizm, hydration, food weight ect. plus it helps to know that opiate tests can detect about 2000ngm so if your level is below that,,, it will be a neg test,,, also wherever you work or what ever ,,, has a min testing range to make it a problem or a poss test,,, like me my place is 4000ngm and above is a poss test,,,, but below 4000ngm is a neg test but still a testable limit,,,, most us companies allow between 5-8000ngm,,, because of poppy seed ingestion,,,, ie a poppy seed bagel could make you test poss for about 2500ngm of opiates,,,, and the only way to determine if a test is hot for H(because H metabolizes into morph) is to send for a special retest of the urine looking for other stuff only commen in H,,,, but if you have a script for any opiate contaning drug you usually have a good cover.

I know for heroin and therefore morphine, 3 days is cutting it very fine and if a job depended on it then at least 4 full days (24 hours) to be on the safe side. Even at 4 full days, it's not a definite negative by any means and as txslammin said there are a lot of factors that can affect the results.

For my fiend, he has passed an opiate drug test 3 days after use but he has also failed one 5 days after use, heroin was the drug used on both occasions. As far as i know heroin itself can only be detected by the presence of 6-monoacetylmorphine which will not be present in urine after 24 hours (i imagine there will be a margin of error either way on that).
