Solpadol, if I remember correctly, this is an effervescent form of paracetamol and codeine, right?

If so, no. Don't do it. The amount needed to get a buzz from the low amount of codeine in it would be extremely toxic to your liver due to the amount of paracetamol ingested with it.

Short answer: no.

Op, see codeine section, esp CWE ( cold water extraction section).

Long Answer: They contain codeine, a mild opiate. Which one can extract easily enough. DO NOT consider abusing them with out removing the paracetamol as its hepta-toxic.

I am under the impression a CWE wouldn't work if he does infact have the effervescent version, unless the paracetamol still doesn't actually dissolve?

Well, solpadol comes in tablet form aswell as well as effervescent, and my ferret used to be prescribed it in convenient capsule form!!
Also there is a thread in the codenie section about using effervescent tablets, but my ferret has never used them so he can't testify as to their suitablility either way!

Effervescent tablets are too high in sodium(salt). Even if a CWE is performed, there will be ridiculous levels of salt which cannot be removed. Each tab contains approx 300MG's of sodium, so it adds up very quickly. Look for normal co-codamol tablets, what country are you in?

300mg of salt (NaCl)?? What is this stuff made for? People with a headache who are stuck out in the Sahara Desert? Eeek! That would make one sick as a dog. Vomiting with awful nausea. Great way to teach someone that "drugs are bad - m'kay?"

My dalek wasnt aware of the sodium and its only just hit him tonight sodium ... is salt. ouch indeed. least he didnt take many phew. T1's for him now (y)

Is there any chemical reason for that amount of salt? Does it help it dissolve easier?
