Sniffer Dog Avoidance?
SWIM was recently at a big outdoor dance music festival in the UK. He and his friends managed to get a fairly substantial amount of drugs into the event (past the sniffer dogs) when they first entered. SWIM and a friend returned to the car on the second day of the fesitval to get food etc and SWIM also got a couple of anti-histamine pills to stop him puking up the drugs he'd smuggled in on initial entry. Anyway this time when he tried to enter the queue was much smaller and the dog came and marked him (strange as SWIM had no drugs on him and SWIM's friend actually had a load of skunk in his shoe).
SWIM knew he had nothing on him and told the policewoman it might be the anti-histamines. SWIM had stupidly hidden them in his sock to avoid getting patted down and having to prove that these pills were legal, he never imagined the dog would detect them (which the woman said they have been known to do). SWIM then had to suffer the indignation of a strip-search and was told to next time leave the pills in the box/blista pack.
Just an idea for those of you who choose to take the risk of bringing drugs in, perhaps take some prescription meds as well (maybe it only works with anti-histamines but not sure) and that might if your lucky be enough to persuade the police that you don't have anything illegal on you. When I'd taken the pills out I asked if they could just get the dog to sniff me again rather than strip-search me and they told me they couldn't for some reason, so I don't think they can get it to sniff you twice (in the UK at least). Obviously this is still an extremely risky strategy but if you're gonna take the risk it might be worth considering.
