Kava (tincture) + Cannabis + Aniracetam + Melatonin
A friend asked me to post this in the hopes it might be of some use.
2:10: Ingested 1 '00' sized capsule of aniracetam and 6 mg melatonin.
My bottle of kava extract/tincture says it contains 64 mg kavalactones/40 drops
2:40: Ingest a bunch of kava extract diluted in water. Guessing this is about 300 mg of kavalactones, by the listed strength.
2:46: Already starting to feel a bit 'spacy', as is typical for me at high doses of kava. I drank a fair amount of kava last night and during the day yesterday as well, so given kava's bizarre 'reverse tolerance' effects I'm perfectly primed for this.
2:50: Kava is hitting me hard; I wonder what walking feels like... I'm giving in to my impulsive side and finishing the bottle. The orange juice and kava-tincture glass hardly looks appetizing. I grab a glass of water for chaser and argue that this is for the sake of science.
2:56: I've only finished half of the kava I've apportioned for myself, but it seems kava's less reported laxative effects are being coming apparent, and I decide to deal with them.
3:07: I still haven't downed the second half of the glass, but I'm already fairly kava-smashed. Sigh... if only this were a more popular alternative to our nation's alcohol obsession...
3:10: It is done, and I am fucked up. Hopefully the combination of high dose kava and weed doesn't provoke the same, not-fun 'alcohol effect'....
3:19: Fire it up.
3:22: By and large, the cannabis seems to diminish the body load of the kava. Together, they even seem to 'balance out''; the anxiety of the pot is nixed by the kava and the nausea of the kava (which is, really, very little proportionate to the 'equivalent' level of alcohol intoxication) is eliminated by the weed. I acknowledge that the nausea may be a result of the large amount of foul-tasting tincture I drank.
3:38: I'm feeling a lot less 'cerebral' than I often do stoned. Though far less stupifying than alcohol, while enjoying kava's state of pleasant, floaty anaesthesis, I feel distinctly 'drugged' and out of touch. The state of intense kava intoxication can only be described as 'drunken'. Totally anxiety free (for me, a rare occurrence). I have a feeling that, if I wished, I could go into a 'nod' at any minute.
3:52: Pretty messed up. Did I mention that already? I would describe my current state as a functionally lucid trance: subjectively, pretty out of it, but I can still read, focus and type perfectly well – though I'm not sure how well I would do on substantially higher-level task.
I have a feeling that the aniracetam (likely around 1.6 g) potentiated both chemicals and kept me more lucid than I would have been without. I would like to try this again in a social setting, as I find kava's euphoric effects, like those of alcohol, to be much greater in a group setting. While my extract claimed to contain the full spectrum of kavalactones, I found it to be much inferior to ground root, and would like to repeat the above experience with root instead of tincture. All in all though, this is definitely a 'good' combo in my book.
