“Office” and “Pineapple Express” Star Pleads Guilty to Ecstasy Possession
20-Aug-2008

As part of an agreement with L.A. prosecutors, Craig Philip Robinson entered a “tentative guilty plea” on Wednesday regarding his felony possession of ecstasy.

Actor Craig Philip Robinson, who is best known for his performances on The Office and Pineapple Express, entered a “tentative guilty plea” on Wednesday regarding his criminal possession of controlled substances, TMZ reported.

Robinson, 36, entered the plea regarding the felony possession of ecstasy. The other charges against him were dismissed.

Documents released last Friday stated that police in Culver City, Calif., arrested Robinson on June 29 on suspicion of possessing MDMA, also known as ecstasy, and methamphetamines.

Robinson was charged with two felony counts of drug possession and one count of being under the influence of illegal drugs by Los Angeles County prosecutors.

In accordance with his plea agreement, Robinson will enter a drug counseling program and if he completes it in 18 months, the guilty plea will be withdrawn and dismissed.

“Mr. Robinson really appreciates and takes seriously the opportunity which has been given to him by the court and the prosecution to have all of the charges against him dismissed, upon successful completion of a counseling program,” his lawyer, Blair Berk, told TMZ.

At the time of his arrest, Robinson was on probation for a DUI conviction he received in 2006; TMZ reports that he's already completed the terms of probation for that case.
